I’m okay with the no hitting the head in a tackle, but there is a difference between hitting and touching. Flegler at best grazed him. Interpretations like this will ruin the game.
Wowwwweeee I’ve never seen a more rigged game. Roosters were lucky to get that win with that ref getting his fine tooth comb out. David mead incident was a sin bin any high tackle the roosters did the ref was on to it straight away for a on report. Then when sitili was hit high it took a captains challenge to identify it. Ref was pathetic.

We were VERY lucky to win . It wasn't deserving though ...... The boys will have to work on completing their sets to have any chance of staying near the top 4. At the end of the day 2 points are 2 points!
Except you cant use a captains challenge on a high shot that wasn't called on the field. Especially when the time allowed to challenge has already passed. Absolute farce of a competition.
sorry, but as a bulldogs fan when we were penalized for taking out the legs of the kicker there was an uproar for a massive reason. This is a contact sport and a bunch of blokes going at each other for their team to win, and for a rule for touching the kicking when kicking a field results in a penalty where ever the ball lands, this is ridiculous. And don't even get me started on the new high shot rules like jack Hetherington got charged matches for a beard scrape like what is this, and for that call to be high is absurd. The NRL really need to have a good look at the rules because they're turning a legendary sport very soft and unenjoyable to watch.
Unfortunately these days players are told and practised to always put their body parts in a position to get a penalty. That "supposed" high shot at the end is never a high shot the roosters player clearly went into the arm cos he saw the arm so ducked into it. The game is getting so ridiculous now defenders have no hope. Literally if there is even a remote chance of a defenders arm being out attackers will fall into it or duck into it because they know they will get penalties. It's absurd
I’ve been watching a lot of old games lately and I think the legal tackles these days are just as hard as they were then. And I’m ok with the rules about tackles around the head, but there has to be a distinction between a tackle and soft, unintentional contact. A terrible end to a great game.
Yeah. I think one of the problems in the game is the rules are the rules. But former players like Joey keep screaming about how the refs need to feel the game. So in other words sometimes it’s a penalty and sometimes it’s not but they also want consistency.
Magic Round did way more damage to the NRL than I think most people realise. That week of incompetent officiating has put every single decision under a microscope. Technically it was right that Flegler hit Tupouniua high but the captain's challenge and decision were not in the spirit of the NRL. I didn't watch the whole game live but I was surprised that Radley hadn't been binned for the shot on Kelly. Also heard the David Mead escaped a sin bin. That's the problem though. The NRL shot themselves in the foot and every single decision right or wrong is now under a microscope.
Broncos had about 3 high tackles go there way, the sitili one was purely to even the score. He was standing upright when he got smacked. the roosters ones were when the broncos players were falling and they stayed down to milk it.
No it wasn't a tackle it was a swinging arm to the head of the player carrying the ball, penalty every day of the week and careless from the Broncos player.

i think you’re forgetting; that was his first game in a while. he’s not going to be a superstar the second he walks on that field again. i think you’re also forgetting how much abuse comes out of that broncos club, and the lack of confidence that man has. his love for the game has been absolutely destroyed, have some compassion. he went out there, and did the best he could do. i’d say, he did a great job considering the circumstances.
@@sallysally7483 thank you, because although milford only played 24 minutes, he played pretty well, his running game is getting better, he was helping in the tackles, and since the broncos are getting more confidence and getting back on track, I hope this will affect milford in a positive way, and in my view this was his most important game in a while, this game was to show why he was a good trade for Reynolds, and even though Reynolds is a much better player, I’m pretty happy for this, and also the Rabbitohs are gonna resurrect his love for the game, and I can not wait for that
If that is a high tackle then every tackle should be deem as a high tackle. The bunker probably had a multi bet on this game. Shocking
