    We really favor the Omron software as it allows us to work with PLCs that were devolved over such a large timeframe as a few years ago I had to work on a machine with CPU1

    You can actually go beyond 1000 I/O with NX102 via adding couplers. We have done this in one of our projects.

      You mean adding ethercat couplers distributed? Lots of people still prefer using ethernet IP for whatever reason.

    Up to 1000 I/O? The GE Series Six was doing either 32K I/O or 32K inputs and 32K outputs in the 80's. I can't remember which, it's been too long... :)
    The biggest one that I ever installed had about 3K of I/O attached to it. It never broke a sweat, clocking in at somewhere around 50ms for the scan time. For their day, these were simply amazing PLCs.
    I discovered that by soldering in a jumper at JP7 it would double the size of the smaller boards from 4K to 8K on its PLC program memory. GE actually made just the one board, and would clip JP7 out of the "smaller" boards and label it as a 12K board (4K of PLC memory and 8K of registers). Otherwise it was left in and labeled as a 16K board (and priced for about $4000 more).
    GE was not pleased with me...
    But the Omrons look like capable PLCs, and "Rockwell" is nowhere to be found in their name. I wholeheartedly approve. :)

      Hey MrWaalkman. Impressive indeed. Those older GE PLCs were solid and did a great job with 80's I/O.

    It's so difficult for me;(
    If someone knows any recommend site or book of sysmac studio programming, plz teach me.
    Thanks.

    I have no idea over Omron make PLCs. But I have worked with Delta, Siemens & Allen Bradley PLCs. Want to know how these PLCs perform in real-world & their durability matters. Durability is an important aspect. Can anybody give me an idea?

    • @sundayoyanda7386
      @sundayoyanda7386 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Just as Allen Bradley, omron plcs are known to work perfectly well in extreme environmental conditions such as dusty areas and highly humid environments as well. If I were to rank it out of the 3, it will be (1)Allen Bradley, (2) omron then finally (3) Siemens. Humble Technician's perspective.

      Omron PLCs are very popular in marine industry. They have been proofed very durable through the years. I have seen old Omron series running in really bad conditions for many many years! And of course I use them all the time.

      I work a lot with omron in the ceramic industry where dust is extreme, also at high temperature. I see plcs with 30 years of durability.

      Omron plcs are great and reliable. However, for larger applications, allen bradley is probably the best bet. For smaller machine application, omron plcs are awesome.

      I use Omron PLCs on vehicles (special vehicle conversions. They are subject to vibration and motion a lot). I have taken out PLCs after 15 years of use and refitted them to other vehicles. I've seen 25 years of use on some parts. and have hardly ever had component failure across roughly 400 different sytems that I have commissioned over the last 26 years.

    Sysmac studio is far better in a lot of ways than cx programmer, However Sysmac still has some weird bugs that are really annoying.
    For example, ctrl+C and ctrl+V don't always work, especially for pasting tags, Sysmac doesn't always recognize that the pasted tag already exists and instead tries to create a new tag.
    I really look forward to a fully flushed out version of Sysmac studio.

    • @DazC2
      @DazC2 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      As someone starting their first project with Sysmac Studio and having spent about 16 years using CX Programmer, I miss a few features of CX. I liked the smart interface of CX that allowed me to type the instruction quick reference and use the CTRL plus arrow keys to join up the bus whereas I can't see that facility in Sysmac. I have to sort of drag an interconnect and pick a contact/function/instruction. And the other thing I miss is the ability to pick whether a new tag is either a local or global tag as you create it. There are others but I don't want to start a rant!

    Morning sir, I have problem with my cpu nj101-9000, it's error f3 IP 41, can you explain about the solution?

    • @realpars
      @realpars  ปีที่แล้ว

      This can mean one of two things. Either: (1) the IP node address on the rotary switches is different to the IP address set in the CX-P programmer, OR, (2) You may need to go to the FINS/UDP tab of the Ethernet setup and change the conversion method to "IP Address table". I have heard that if the conversion method is set to any of the automatic modes, the F3 error may occur.
