Nice review on the M17! First time seeing EMULEC firmware on a low budget generic brand handheld console. EMULEC is normally just on brand named higher budget handheld consoles like PowKiddy and ANBERNIC. I also noticed how the M17 seems to mimic the design of the RP3 Plus. I have 2 more suggestions. These two budget handhelds are both sold on TEMU: OOZCC handheld console (this one is shaped like a PS joypad with a 2.4 inch display attached) X80 handheld console (this one has a 7 inch display and looks very similar to the PowKiddy X70)

@@Creative4Gaming When you find the OOZCC, it won't read OOZCC in the heading it will just show a PS controller handheld with a 2.4 inch display. You'll have to then scroll down in to the description to find the company name OOZCC.
@@michaeljodon1726 console is CRAP! I suspect that he has the same problem I have with mine, it has NO SOUND! Furthermore, the emulators don't work well, and most of the games either don't play at all or they play like crap. Stay away.

Thank you for making this review. I saw this handheld on Aliexpress and was pretty curious about the performance. Judging from the processor they used, I already expected that it is impossible to run PSP games very well but will be good enough for PS1 and below. How long does the battery last on this device?
M17 looks really nice retro handheld device, I like joysticks are at diffrent points on diffrent sides like in Nintendo Switch but without removable controllers, maybe i'll buy and play with that M17. 💻
I would not recommend it. If you're okay with Playstation 1 and below and want perfect performamce, the anbernic rg35xx is only a little bit more and will blow this away. Or the powkiddy v90. Or if you can afford a little bit more, the 353v/vs, thr powkiddy x55 is $89 or the powkiddy rgb30. All will absolutely thrash this one!
My M17 arrived yesterday and although it is a budget console i was still left so disappointed due to a lack of settings on the device. The buttons are mapped the wrong way round for ps1 emulation and there is no way to remap them, there is a hell of alot of duplicate roms on the device and way too many for my liking. Psp roms like N64 only work ok for less than a hand full of games too which i find so strange seem as the box seems to advertise the whole device around Psp emulation for some reason? I'm very much hoping somebody makes custom firmware for this device as it does hold potential, on the current firmware though i'm afraid it's a big "NO" from me as there are plenty better handhelds out there on this budget. Such ashame
I hate the huge bezels they give these devices around the screen with the huge m17 LOGO just taking up space. They've already built these devices into keychain handhelds, just shrink the device down to the proper screensize. It would look so much better.
Is the video slowed down or does it actually run that slow? None of the games look even close to running at full speed lol. Even the GBC game was running at 50% speed going off of the in-game timer.
Ever think that all those secrets and tricks in mario 2 were learned, by you, watching another,better player play. Ever think they did the same thing, like monkeys, or who taught them? Just a thought: those games were before internet as we know it, so sharing was a problem, unless you had access to a dial-up modem, and bbs and early iirc channels, some private, but my point is : who learned them first, and how was it spread?🤔
He really should have clarified. His video is messed up. I have one of these it runs everything flawlessly below the 3d games. 3d and above usually doesnt work. I highly recommend it if you like the size and dont care about those consoles

I thought the same thing. Nothing looks playable. Also, he needs to let us hear the audio. That is half of it with emulation quality.

That’s weird - the save state worked with mine (pressing start\select at the same time)
@@Creative4Gaming the in-game save doesn't work, i tried to save advance wars and it would lose my progress each time i shut it off.
