Great idea!! Not criticizing your method, just informing what I use. Lonewolf conversion barrel; use caliber specific mags; no issues with extraction or ejection. I have one for both a 22 & 23 and have had ZERO malfunctions.
Pretty much the same method I use for converting my g22 to a g17. However, I started getting lazy and stopped changing out the extractors and surprisingly 5000 rounds of 9mm with the 40 cal extractor and zero malfunctions.
Just want to mention that the brass to face issue on a Glock 27 G27 Gen 2.5 with a Glock 23 G23 40-9 conversion barrel was resolved with following parts ordered and installed...(1) glsp28927 sp28927 Glock Trigger Housing (Gen 4) 40 S&W (only use the 28926 ejector)(1) Glock OEM Extractor Dep Plunger Spring SP00119/ SP33522(1) SP01176 Glock Spring Loaded Bearing 9mm & .380 Auto for Non-LCI Extractors, Black(1) SP00098 Glock Extractor 9mm (90°) for Old Style Non-LCI Slides w/ 90° Ejection PortAlso, made sure to use 9mm double stack magazines. So, yes, it works. Some have issues, some don't. And some find the right combination of parts to get it to work correctly. Good luck and happy shooting!"
Good intelligent vid. Customized my Glock 22 with XS Big Dot sights, Talon rubberized grips, 3.5 Ghost trigger, extended slide release. Added only a Lone Wolf 9mm barrel and 9mm mags. 1500 rounds with NO problems. 1 gun, 2 calibers, win/win!
Advice to some owners of older gen 22s, Fire 50 rounds of +P first, buy 17 mags and then use any ammo you need to use for practice or home defense. Also inexpensive 22s now on market even after conversions cost will be less expensive than used 17s if you can find one
Lone wolf barrel ONLY. Works perfect, no need to use 9mm mags. 600 perfect shots so far. 5 different types of ammo about 400 rds of Wolf & TulAmmo. Just saying. Threaded barrel $90.00 Optics Planet
Surprised that you did not swap out the ejector. That would make it a complete conversion, yes? On second thought and further research, one should NOT do this if one just has a conversion barrel.. Only swap out the ejector if you run a complete 9mm slide. Keep the .40 ejector if you just switch out the barrel and run it with the ,.40 slide. Might be dangerous otherwise. Conclusion: to run 9mm in a .40mm Glock just use a conversion barrel and 9mm magazines. That said, you can run with 9mm cartridges in a .40 magazine but the former is considered more reliable. Ryan Espinosa Yes you do, for a complete conversion. Those parts p/n differ from 9mm to .40. So if you want a full conversion, replace .40 parts with 9mm parts. My experience indicates that a Glock 23 gen 3 with 9 mm conversion barrel works as well as a fully converted same Glock 23.
You pointed the conversion barrel at yourself prior to installing it very undafe. You barrel swept your camera man too with the conversion barrel before installing it

Very professional, quickly to the point, easy to comprehend video. Thanks
If you have a lonewolf or stormlake barrel you do not need to replace the extractor/ejector.

Lone wolf now makes .40 to 9mm conversion barrels in black.
Love that you are using Gary's holster! Run my Q series on a regular basis
Awesome brother. Thanks for the video. It couldn't of been said better....👍
any videos of you shooting the conversion coming up? I'm curious about the followers.
Been considering trading my G22 on a G17 but I think I'll keep it & buy 9mm conversion .
Does anyone know the difference between the smooth stainless steel ones and the ones with black nitride flutted ones? The performance and durability?

Yep
would use 9mm mags for defense.
@Matthew Caughey After my post I did start to have FTF. Went with 9mm mags also no problems since. Thanks for the reminder

Too much of a hassle, I'd rather just go buy a 9mm pistol.

Yes u just swap the barrel n mags back to the 40
Forgot the extractor plunger bushing, the .40 is white and the 9mm is black.
Mr S - I didn’t forget anything.

I need it . Is there anybody can help me?im in the philippines.
I just heard that Glock 22 had a 357 barrel
9mm extractor not needed.
Using those parts it's only half converted to 9mm. You still need the 9mm trigger housing and 9mm spring loaded bearing.
