As I've told many new trappers and old in the required FWP wolf and basic trapping class, after they're done here, if they think they're going to try to trap wolves, they need to find someone who has trapped and understands the many differences in wolf trapping, then with other predators. Good to see you're teaching and helping others.
Very nice of you to get Dan started. Wish I would have had someone knowledgeable to get me going back in the day. I had to learn the hard way. Well done Brother!
Hello Paul! We got snow up high, but not at the house yet. My traps are about ready, but need adjusted for pan tension, and a few trap tags. 24 traps? He's serious! Good! The few I've helped get started didn't stick with it....too much work, not enough pay.....
PA - sounds like you and Johnny had a great weekend. I’m glad it was productive. As usual, thanks for passing “it” on. Can’t wait to get up there again.
I seen you on Mounting men night. I'm far behind the 8th one comes on the week and I'm just starting to watch. Cool as hell you are around and met Tom I know you have to have loved that. If you don't read this I'll try to put it on your new one if TH-cam lets me know you have a new one out. They have been very bad sending out notices for most of what I watch I enjoyed your video and I gave it a Thumbs Up
@@montanawolftrapper8666 You're welcome and tell Tom a few fans of his said hi LOL And it looks like you're a fan as well and I hope you're able to become good friends with him!!
Good evening From Idaho Hope this finds you well a little trick. I learned about eight years ago. Just thought I would try it and it has worked wonders for me. I take some pine resin and put in my wax. It helps with the smell and it seems to make the wax hold up a lot better. I’m not sure the science behind it but it seems to work very well. Maybe this will help somebody with their trapping obviously you need to be where the pines are that you’re using. Take care. Good luck and God bless.
Don't forget to make sure the wolf cant get the T-bone out of the ground. I had that happen last year. He took the T-bone and went about 10 ft away then chewed on it and worked it over good for a while.
I was just asked to mentor someone here in WI. We’re new(er) hires on the volunteer fire dept together and we’re in an EMR class together. I am so stoked for 10/14 when I can take him out and put some raccoon sets in the dirt

Thanks for the tips!
No wolves around here thankfully. Way too many coyotes and other varmints though.
Good Luck to everyone
Be safe
All the luck for Tight Chains and singing cables

Good deal. What modifications are needed with the TS-85? Four coil, grind offset, laminate?
I’m not sure I’m not a TS-85 guy
You have inspired me.

Paul, one more quick thing. How did your modifications to the Duke 850 wolf traps work out for you?
It held 3
Damn good weekend for sure
I don't try to catch wolves and been getting a couple a year but there still listed here in Wisconsin
Yeah that sucks
You ever think they will let us trap grizzlies again ?
Nope
Do u think we should?
@@zs9372 my opinion don’t matter
Ok
