Girl you are a musical genius. The way you just immediately understand and analyze what the purpose of the song is and the technique used in certain deliveries of parts and why they become so iconic. Yeah I've noticed as well that vocal fry has become their calling card and signature sound when it fits the concept. (Which is almost always) As a fellow singer I like to focus on what makes the core recognizable sound of a song/group and what is essential to emulate to make it sound more familiar and as special as the original, for Aespa it would be sass. If someone can't masterfully utilize vocal fry in the right amount and moments, then they probably should practice that until it's solid before attempting an Aespa cover. Another point I'd like to mention is the attention to detail on how the soundscape flows between members. Giselle to Karina and Winter to NingNing is just SO satisfying. Especially become of the smooth transition of warm, lucious lower registers of Giselle and Karina to the soft, smokey, light and smooth as butter mid and upper register of WinNing. (hah) Also last but not least, I know and believe that music is for everyone, buuuut lately groups have been making music so intensely targeted for the girlies and the gays, and I'm SO here for it. Crazy, I'm Ready, and now Whiplash WILL own the soundwaves of every club in Itaewon and any other nightlife district in the world.

Aesps is always a good time IMO. They do not stay in a fixed lane. It's always intriguing when they release new things. The other songs are also great. It's a party album. I welcome it. It goes on my playlist for sure :) The other songs are more "vocal demanding" i think (not being a singer my self so what do i know) .. "Flights, not feelings" is thriving in the experimental play we know Aespa for. Kill it is also good. .. i mean, of course. It's Aespa! haha.
