When I lived in Rottingdean for a few years I could go to Brighton, Shoreham, Newhaven , Eastbourne in one day and not much waiting around.
Back home in Wales and we don't have any buses on a Sunday!!

The Brighton area is particularly well served for public transport, where I live in Surrey we do have 1 route on Sundays, a bus every 2 hours, during the week it is every 1/2 hour, we don't have any buses after 7pm though. Our train service is very good, 4 trains an hour during the day on weekdays to Waterloo.

Lovely day for your visit and such a variety to see. I like the mix of locations you pick.

@@171trains The electric buses in the Big Lemon fleet are part of the Solar Bus Project, the power for charging the electric buses is provided by solar panels mounted on the roof of the Big Lemon bus depot.

They are providing a useful service on the usually very busy universities route, they are getting on a bit now so I expect they will be withdrawn in the not to distant future.

The all red bus on route 7 is a Brighton and Hove bus in the old Brighton, Hove and District livery, BHD was the Tilling group predecessor to Brighton Hove.

@@bobhodgestransportDVDs it looked like a london bus when i saw it come up

Don't forget that Thomas Tilling operated in London until the formation of London Transport in 1933, their buses were painted a dark red though, whereas the London General (the largest fleet that went into London Transport) were painted red, the same or very similar to what is used today.
