I think I've got a wonderful story with actors in mind to play the characters.

If you can somehow get to those actors, they like it and they’re relatively high profile, your odds of getting things going with a studio increase exponentially.

Great video, indeed the best on youtube regarding this. I subbed to the channel!
I did not have a story structure laid out when is started writing my animated comedy pilot, but the whole thing has come to be about 30 pages with act breaks nearly matching in the 3rds portions of the script. I had this story in my head circling for months though, essentially I could see it all in my head unfolding so putting it onto paper was rather streamlined., then ofcourse filling it out was a new experience.

    1) I haven't watched a TV show in years, decades even. (90 hr work weeks don't leave much TV time.) All my shows are from the 90s or before. I've barely heard of any of the shows you referenced.
    2) I've been working this story in my head for 30 years. I finally realized today that its open-ended episodic nature would work great as a TV show, but it's hit dead end after roadblock as a novel or movie.

Everything you TALKED about in this Video is GREAT...
But just talking isn't going to SHOW people that do not know what You're talking about.
    SHOW a real TV script...
Show what industry format is used...
Show HOW to write a TV Script first.... etc....

You SHOW How To make the Cereal Box... It is called a Tutorial or a "How To" or a D.I.Y....
NOT just "Talk" about How To make a Cereal Box.

I have a great idea for T.V. series, at least in my opinion, that is a book that was made into a movie way back in the early 2000’s. It would be its own thing while also taking inspiration from both the book as well as the movie that came before it.
