Born n’ raised in LA, like him, and lived in the South for a hot minute, like him. It is a blessing in disguise to find this 4-hour masterclass. Grateful to y’all for putting this together! -Sam
Wuss good Deee- real quick bro: is this template ALSO used AFTER the recording process for the Mix itself, or is the VOX bounced into another session where it's mixed in with the other elements, and officially mixed. My workflow right now is going to protools just for recording, alignment and clean up, then I pop it back into Ableton to finish my song- is that weird.
HIIII Deee- real quick bro: is this template also used after the recording process is over for the Mix itself, or is the Vocal bounced into another session where it's mixed in with the other elements of the beat as those are being Mixed officially? 🙈💺🎤🤔
hello i'm new to pro tools, what's the purpose to record vocals on a track then drag the recording into another track? why not record straight into the track that its being dragged into?
Great content. Which 1073 do they have vs the one he uses? I know there’s differences on the output trim placement; as far as what’s unity and what’s not.
Also the serial compressor thing is pretty popular in rock and heavier genres; those are the only guys that typically see using it. I believe I first learned about it from Jacquire King.
I do Flex Pitch (logic pro’s melodyne ) before running it through an auto tune. I experimented and personally like doing my melodyne after gain stage before my vocal chain, and I have auto tune turned on after my vocal chain.
should i go more gain, red knob thinggy on the neve depending on the mic i am using ? should i go lower on the gain with a c800 than a u87 ? to my experience it seems like it, my trim level always 100%. if anyone can confirm. thanks
pretty sure he doesnt try to record at 0 because of clipping. yes he turns the beat down, but at what db he aims the vocal gain towards im not too sure. fact is, if you stay under 0 youre fine

How do you actually bus the tune track to the recording track, while both tracks are in mono? When I got to put the input on the record track from my print aux it only gives me mono options, is this a problem or just how it is?
@@kameo8321 if you want to print your autotune create a aux input track in mono, set the input of the aux input track to your mic input and the output to a bus of your choice I recommend renaming it as well for organization, set your input on your record track to either the Left or right bus hand bus you renamed doesn’t matter which, then activate record your record track and have at it, there’s other ways you can do it but this way works.
@@kameo8321 and obviously put the effects you want to print on your vocals on the aux input track, but beware this is very risky if you don’t know your voice, your tune setting, etc, you cannot take it off once you’ve recorded.

I wonder if he ever melodynes the already autotuned tracks. Just to make it even tighter
