Every other row is fine for the grapes. You don't need total coverage, only where the vines are.

Yeah the gaps he's worried about are the open spaces between rows
- Your methane was full. 80kl methane should make some decent money.
- The water tanks for greenhouses work for the gold too, so you can increase it's water capacity by a lot (water seems to be your main thruput hold up on that production)
- The water towers only cost 3k so driving back and forth with big trailers is inefficient when you can leave a small one there more or less permanently draining water into it.
A methane or electric powered vineyard tractor would have been good. You are already making methane, and IIRC there is a biomass electricity generation mod - you could run the little tractor for free.
Also, check where the unfertilised gaps are. I reckon all the vines are getting sprayed, it's just a bit of grass in the middle that the sprayer isn't hitting.
Just so you know, because youre raising the angus cows to sell, they do NOT need TMR. Hay is absolutely fine, also their best time to sell is when they reach 24 months old. You should consider buying some more calves so they start maturing by the time the ones you have now are ready to be sold.
The best time to sell is after 12 months. After 12 months they eat more, so feed value goes up more than they gain in sell value
@@powergaa The continually eat more and more each month until 19 months of age. At 19 months of age, they eat 450L per month per cow. The best time to sell is at 27 months as they have reached the point where they no longer gain $116ish/month value - they drop to gaining about $41/month - which happens at 24 months of age. But at 27 months of age, they give birth. Hay is perfectly fine indeed for beef cattle.
One thing you may not be aware of is that when you went to fill the greenhouses, you actually filled the other trailer. You have 2 trailers that hold the same things except one holds methane and the other doesn't. I would sell the one that does not do methane because the other can do water, milk, fertilizer, herbicide and methane. If you are getting a little bored of fertilizing the grapes too, you could always go with a very narrow fertilizer spreader, they work just the same. Great vid though, great work.
You didn't need the fertilizer for grapes you can just use the one you have and run directly up the middle of the Vinyard Fertilizing everything all at once in one pass.

I might be wrong but I believe that you don't actually need to use the designated fertilizer spreader for the vines. It's authentic but it's not necessary in-game. I'm pretty sure you can use the regular spreader as long as it fits the spacing between the rows.
It's doable but this man's driving skills would make it painful to watch.
He did that on haut baler on(I don’t know how to spell it but you know what I mean)
@ SmiterUA Lay down 7 rows of vines/olives, make wider row for fert ,then 14 rows before another wider row,etc ,this allows for 40m fert pellets with little waste.

one small tip with the grape vines if you keep getting confused which row is next at both ends of the odd rows texture a small section of the grass with gravel so you can tell the odd rows from the even ones, loving the series too keep doing what you enjoy doing.
Outside the filed I presume? Or you can't fertilise anymore I guess? Great idea btw.

They really don't. They are nice to do but the investment is so huge its not a money maker. Lucky the actual competition bit of this series died roughly episode 4 or 5 chainsaw probably has 4 times the money I think.

That gold production is ridiculously overpowered. Not sure how it is any different from the greenhouses. It looks to be giving you what 4 or so of the OP greenhouses would per month. Feels like it is overshadowing the competition. £180,000 per month for essentially nothing is crazy.

It was such a big day I may have broken a rule and gone til 18:06. Part of the challenge is time management but I just couldn't bring myself to have a few rows left on a field to sow...
I finished expanding the field from last episode and planted it with even more oats, which I under estimated how long that would take by a lot but hopefully I have enough oats for my 2 factories. My sugar beets where ready! I built the sugar factory, bought the gear needed to make it cut and conveyors so I could dump the sugar beets on the ground to feed into the cutter then into the factory. The tractor kept getting pushed back which was strange, so I built a fence just behind it which fixed that problem. I love using a hoe to kill the weeds as it removed the weed state from the info screen and doesn't have an ongoing cost. Though I believe I take a penalty because I don't always get it on the day I plant.
I have noticed that both Chainsaw and Daggerwin are not keeping up with their gold, so I might just refill the water once a day instead of twice.
I made $216,557 from my 12 factories on auto-sell. I made $27,928 from property income. I didn't sell anything personally.
This series is much longer than i expected.Please make at least 26ep more

Hey mate. Look's like your Methane was maxed out which stopped Silage processing and you disabled Silage with 28,000L still in the tank @4:30 . From memory distribution sends a lot less frequently than manually moving products yourself so it might keep up better if you move it manually and keep the water and stones up..
Finally caught up to the most recent episode. I'm loving the series. If ever you do another Survival series, be it multiplayer or solo, might I suggest/request a realism survival? Add mods like Precision Farming, MaizePlus, REA22, etc.
Daggerwin, You could use the little Massey Ferguson for the spraying of the vines . Keep the vids coming! :)
I think it only needs one fertiliser application for grapes? Just rediscovering it myself on Casterlnaud, together with the "nutty" trees. It's a small effort with the small equipment. I feel like that using the other fertilisers is a bit cheaty since solid fertiliser will never pass the vineyards that far IRL. You can use the smaller, older tractors for this too btw, not necessarily vineyard specialised ones. Just make sure they have at least 35hp for smaller equipment and 70-75hp for the heavier equipment. I think I saw a modded harvester in your available macinery, @Daggerwin. I know this one works really fine if you play a bit with the lateral distance now and then.
Have you considered the automatic Irrigation Mod? It and can be turned on and off per production building, and each refill will carry a small cost. I find it better than the water collection process on this map.
Keep this episode going as long as possible I love it and think it is the best videos you are putting out at the minute

I just realized this the other day, so maybe I'm late/slow. But if you have Lumberjack installed, when you cut down a small tree, if you cut it into small sections (about 3) you will then have the red line (like you get for a stump) and you can just delete the tree. It's really nice for small tree's because they're really not worth the time or effort.
you can immediately delete trees if the "line" is kept parrallel to the tree. I just take them down first or the tree will still be visible when outside of rendering range.

I would recommend buying that hilly plot just forward of your farm, turn that into your equipment storage area.
With how much the Gold and the Clothing are paying out, you could demolish the Greenhouses, and join the Fields together.
he could, but then he would have to drive the long way around every time he wants to get on the farm. Personally I wish he had smaller fields with more varied crops. 3 huge fields with cotton for example, it's going to generate so much cotton it will take forever to process all of it.
The gold would produce more but he leaves every video with it not full and it always runs out before he fills everything back up. Bunch of Money he's leaving on the table. But hey I'm just hear to watch and enjoy the content.
tell you what you might actually be able to use the vintage tractor for the vineyard work as well. if you take the loader and stump grinder off.😂
You could place small concrete or other spot on evere second row to keep track easier.

speaking of spraying if you lift the sprayer then you won't need that small one
Dagerwin grapes ned multching liming plowing but you can use a subsoiler too pruning after harvest i dont know if they ned cultivating or not?
I think hay is more profitable for cows long term than TMR and also less work. Hay will get them to 100% health at a slightly slower rate but will still get to 100%
If they were milk cows, the TMR would be needed for optimal output, but he bought meat cows instead so Hay is more than sufficient for maximum output from them

For your water you should go to the store to fill up the water tanker because the whole tanker will only take 32 dollars to fill the whole thing with water. Also that would be faster for you so you can get more things done.
This has been suggested 100s of times but I don't think he reads the comments much.
Id suggest making the vine rows long enough that each pass is the better part of a full tank mabe 95% of a fill, so no going half way down a row to continue where the harvester got filled up.

just curious, but cant you just get a sprayer boom that can be raised and lowered (basically all of them) and raise it to max height and run it over the vinyard covering lost more per pass?
I dont do vinyards much, so just wondering. I know some of them can go very high, its just finding one small enough to fit between the vines. Some of the self propelled ones go higher, but most of those definitely wont fit... Well not unless there is one that is higher than the vines that is.
I use the small dry fertilizer with wide speeding do it all in one pass if you go directly up the middle. Saves time and money.

The part about cleaning up your farm area, it isn't that you offend me. It is that you are a top notch player and I just want it to be easier for you to get around it more efficiently by having your yard and other areas layed out well. I want you to have it shipshape and in Bristol fashion so it helps you to win. Because I care, not that I want to tell you how to play.

I'm sorry for asking but, could anyone please take a moment and answer me this question.. are these mods featuring greenhouses, structures like spinnery and so on included as mod in this map, or they are mod you have to manually download and/or are they in game featured within premium expansion or whatever? I'm thinking of buying FS22 and this is literally holding the decision 50/50. All in all, am I going to have all these structures, vehicles, attachments in the base game and mods or I have to buy premium editionin order to have what Daggerwin has? Thanks and sorry for the long text.

@@craakslayer3051 If you wait a few days you can get the premium edition with all paid dlc up to that point for what the base game costs now I believe. As far as your question goes, the gold, flower greenhouse and mushroom greenhouse are part of the map (which is a free mod). The other productions he is using are part of the base game for the most part. Mods in Farming Simulator are mostly free and are easy to work with, especially from Giants Modhub (if you are on console you dont have any other choices anyway).
So that means I can have all that he has with the base game and mods from Giants Modhub?

You aren’t maximising the space cut down a load more trees in plot32
You can literally use the solid fertilizer spreader on the grapes.... Max width, you'll get it done in 2-3 passes. I don't think grapes were a great choice. It's going to take you forever to do anything on them unless you use the small tips and tricks. Way to time consuming for the profits you're going to make. You did grapes and olives in the past. It's painful
sheep dont take hay only grass, you made a mistake i think
in this game sheep can take hay or grass. it's just grass rots away faster then hay doe's normally so that's why alot of people usually do hay more. that and you normally end up with more hay then normal grass because of storing a ton of it to be sold as well.

Hopefully this is just me, but the gold production is not fair. It’s way too much money, you could easily win by just doing gold. There has to be a rule around this similar to the greenhouses. It’s pretty unfair

Why do farmers go down the middle of their field then go up and down either side of the original line
The main reason is because to turn and go straight back up would be to tight of a turn and to go all the way to the other side of the field would waste time and money hope this helps
