Even though I am 50 year old woman, skz have been helping me to pursue my dreams. When I see their fearlessly follow their dreams it make me want to do that too. They have been my comfort place for the last 3 years. So I owed them a lot..

Also I think I missed when you asked for what Straykids means to stay, and I'm just gonna say it here. But about 4½ years ago I had a pretty severe depression episode and I tried to take my life, it was really difficult and I was in and out of hospital, it was where I learned empathy and sympathy for people, and respect, mainly for the doctors and nurses who took the time to sit with me. Then my friend sent me a song by straykids and I watched it and it was voices. When they talked about breaking free from the voices in their heads it resonated with me because it was something I had been trying to do for so long. It felt like I was finally not alone, and all of a sudden, the thoughts went away, and the more I watched and listened, the more I became who I am today. They saved my life and I owe them so much, even though I may never meet them in real life. And also our two Aussies that I just needed to support🤣 I found your channel while looking for skz reaction videos and was instantly drawn to you. Your background, look and chill vibes is really calming and I can tell you are an amazing person, you really have my respect, there is not a lot of Australian kpop reaction channels and your really good at making us feel welcome. Streetlight is one of the songs I listen to for a good cry and for comfort. It speaks to me. I love the song and very protective of it. My personal story with SKZ - I am also an older fan, much older than SKZ. I discovered them at this point in my life that I feel so empty that life and death means almost nothing to me. I am also working during COVID and there is a point in my life I feel so down. It sounds crazy but SKZ songs like Another Day, Grow Up and Streetlight allow me to be sad, cry and feel like I am not so alone feeling blue. It is hard for me to talk about these feelings to my family (I do not want them to worry) or my friends (I do not want to expose myself and be vulnerable). These songs felt like an outlet to me.

Awww sorry for making you cry!! The songs really are emotional and makes you remember you’re not alone. But also remembering that loneliness can be hard 🥹🥹❤️
The message that they always portrayed and wanted us to get from them was that looking at others didn't matter, that it was ok to go at our own pace, do what we want, be what we want. And not like some other groups with messages in their songs who don't apply them with themselves, SKZ symbolizes what they express in their songs. I always felt like falling behind, not being enough. I also suffered from loneliness a lot, because I have two older brothers who left the house when I was a baby to live their lives (huge age gap), with whom I am really close, and who I only see once a year since birth. I could say my brothers are my favorites persons on earth. Stray kids feels like family in a sense. I kinda see them as older brothers, and they are fulfilling that huge hole in my heart while during the whole year I am waiting to see my brothers. I am so thankful for everything they helped me get through. I also want to point out a song : grow up. This song is my confort song, the only thing capable of calming me when I have panic attacks and anxiety. Lastly, they were some mistakes in this color coded video of phobia, and I know it because it's one of my favorite songs from them lmao. The OP gave some Changbin in singing (!!) lines to Chan, some Felix singing (!!) lines to Hyunjin. It was kinda frustrating because they don't sing often and I live for their beautiful vocal tones, especially Felix's soft singing voice !

It’s been stray kids that makes me remember that I should only compare myself to myself and not to others if I want to grow. I felt like for a long time I was never good enough, never smart enough, pretty enough, skinny enough etc. but I’m trying to remind myself whenever those thoughts come back in that I am enough. Stray kids came into my life when I was dealing with severe depression and I couldn't keep going, everything was just so hard but then I met them. I did not know anything about kpop at the time. They made me laugh and made me happy even if it was just for a moment. Their songs mean so much to me especially streetlight is so so special because I can relate to it so much. It hits different when you know they write the lyrics based on their own experiences and thoughts.. Now I'm 22 and luckily I won my battle against depression after 3 years & I can say that stray kids helped me so much like I can't even explain.. Chan's room is my comfort place. It's so mind blowing that a lot of stays found skz when they needed it the most.

you're right, the emotion in so many of their songs is so raw that i sometimes avoid looking at the lyrics because i know they'll break my heart. just keep vibin instead~ chan always says that he wants stays to not feel alone in what they're going through and feeling, and i think that really comes through in their lyrics. skz walk us through what they feel and experience rather than providing a solution necessarily? and i think that makes them more relatable. like 'idk what to do but we'll work it out together because we understand each other' kind of vibe
Haha I know right, the lyrics are too much sometimes. But yes I completely get with just being there for someone and not providing solutions. Sometimes we just need someone to walk along side us so we don’t feel isolated and alone. For the most part I know my solutions I just want to tell people for them to be on my side and understand what I’m feeling, not how to fix me. 🥹🥹❤️❤️

I myself am a fine wine stay (older than the kids). I came across God's Menu as an ad from a Twice's mv before. Never did I know that JYP has boy groups. JYPE is mostly known for their girl groups. At that time, God's Menu was a refresher. I had been seeing some groups recycling the same things over and over again. Their music is hard hitting. But what made me stay are the songs that hit the heart. My personal favourites are You Can Stay, Secret Secret and Blueprint. Their songs speak words I can't put to words. And all the more you can appreciate its genuineness because they participate with the writing. Stray Kids saved me. They saved many lives, and continuously inspired many people.

As someone who's been depressed for more than 10 years, Stray Kids' songs gave me a lot of comfort and eased my mind at a level i never expected they would. I always felt lonely and discovering them was the best thing that could happen cause i finally felt understood and even loved. Every single one of their songs had me crying so much 🥲 if you have the time/want to, you should listen to these ones: alien (han), voices, secret secret, levanter

Speaking about me, Stray Kids take a special place in my heart. I'm their huge fan since pre-debut. They help me going through the worst episodes of my life and give me support, which I'm not taking from my family. When I suddenly realized that most of my friends left me alone, skz became my friends. When it feels like everything is falling apart this guys make me move on. I just want to add to all these beautiful reasons for liking skz. So around a year ago I started watching skz and kingdom and immediately fell in love with them. They are so comforting and make me so happy and it may sound really weird but I find comfort in watching emotional clips of things. And just cry along with them bc I finally don’t feel lonely. Their songs just have a way of just hitting the right place and just burst out crying. I feel the exact same way about them feeling like family. It just feels like you belong with them doesn’t it. Im so glad that my friends were obsessed with BTS, bc of that I fell in love BTS first and after some time I fell in love with more kpop groups, like Seventeen and Ateez. And after that I finally had a feeling about being somewhere that made me feel safe enough to let out all my emotions. I hope that they give that to you as well! Ah Phobia! I love phobia, I think it was my favourite off the album. I especially love Felix’s singing part even if it was only for a moment. I think a great but under appreciated b-side that I love is ‘chronosaurus’ it’s a haunting sound, really so beautiful. It’s for sure an oldie but a goodie that tends to be forgotten about for some reason.

If I had a dollar for every time a Kpop group had a b-side I like that puns on the similarity between the words "mirror" in English and "maze" in Korean, I would have three dollars, which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened thrice. :p "Another Day" sounds like a rainy day song. I'm not sure I'd listen to it on purpose, but I probably wouldn't skip it. And the poetry in the lyrics is, indeed, fantastic. "Phobia" is a song I did actually already know! Someone who really wants me to be a STAY showed it to me because they know I like synth-pop and dance-y tracks. "Streetlight" has to be my favorite from an artistic perspective. I have a hard time vibing to rap, so I probably wouldn't put it on that often, but it's probably the song I think is the most beautiful of these four. The chorus-y feeling to the vocals in that last chorus? Oof. Right in the feels. I know this is old, but I really don't mind when you cry in your videos. When someone is _genuinely_ emotional, it makes you feel closer to them. Also like I wish I could hug you, but yeah. It's not annoying or bad or anything like that.

I actually had no idea Silent Cry was made for HAN but now that I know it makes 1000x more sense. As a person who has similar struggles with HAN when I saw Silent Cry’s lyrics I thought I had found a song that shows all the struggles I went through and made me feel more like they were my home and safe place.

SKZ has helped me in ways I cannot explain these past few months that I have known them- I was never really able to get into kpop until my friends showed me this wonderful group. Even though I haven't even known them for half a year yet I feel like I've known them for years. I've cried many times because of how relatable their songs are, but not only because of the songs but because of the clear support and love they show for their STAY. I've been through a tough few months, probably the worst so far and it feels like they've been there every step of the way. Channie's 'I Hate to Admit' leaves me sobbing every time I listen to it and it really shows off his vocals incredibly well it's probably one of my top comfort songs right now.

STREETLIGHT is a favourite of mine - the lyrics are just amazing and Changbin's voice! You can just tell he really gets the experience, which is clearly common among Stray Kids fans - I guess there's a lot of streetlight behaviour amongst us, and that's quite comforting too, to know that there are a lot of kind and emotionally generous people in the fanbase. "newer" stays tend to start the "underrated" discourse when they are just in the wrong crowd. stays KNOW, RECOGNIZE, and PRAISE them in all the things they excel in and we even witnessed the countless times they were praised by non fans. its just that these are NOT a basic fact that non fans get to know right off the bat and/or there are things they are MORE known for like Lee Know as the lead dancer or part of danceracha. again, the "underrated" member discourse just doesn't sit right with me because it isn't true.

Idk if I’ve commented this before and I don’t know if it’s actually a b side but I’d like to recommend grow up. The whole song is essentially saying you’re going to be ok it’s ok to take your time and allow yourself to grow. It’s helped me a lot and I’ve listened to it like a lot! I’d also like to recommend Han alien, you can stay, sunshine, Felix and Changbin cause I like you, and Hyunjin little star! They’ve all really comforted me while I’ve been feeling down!

Also I think I missed when you asked for what Straykids means to stay, and I'm just gonna say it here. But about 4½ years ago I had a pretty severe depression episode and I tried to take my life, it was really difficult and I was in and out of hospital, it was where I learned empathy and sympathy for people, and respect, mainly for the doctors and nurses who took the time to sit with me. Then my friend sent me a song by straykids and I watched it and it was voices. When they talked about breaking free from the voices in their heads it resonated with me because it was something I had been trying to do for so long. It felt like I was finally not alone, and all of a sudden, the thoughts went away, and the more I watched and listened, the more I became who I am today. They saved my life and I owe them so much, even though I may never meet them in real life. And also our two Aussies that I just needed to support🤣 I found your channel while looking for skz reaction videos and was instantly drawn to you. Your background, look and chill vibes is really calming and I can tell you are an amazing person, you really have my respect, there is not a lot of Australian kpop reaction channels and your really good at making us feel welcome. I really hope we can meet in person sometime, you make me feel so welcome and happy when I watch you, thank you.😊 this is really long wow. Any way, byeee💜

Streetlight is one of the songs I listen to for a good cry and for comfort. It speaks to me. I love the song and very protective of it.
My personal story with SKZ - I am also an older fan, much older than SKZ. I discovered them at this point in my life that I feel so empty that life and death means almost nothing to me. I am also working during COVID and there is a point in my life I feel so down. It sounds crazy but SKZ songs like Another Day, Grow Up and Streetlight allow me to be sad, cry and feel like I am not so alone feeling blue. It is hard for me to talk about these feelings to my family (I do not want them to worry) or my friends (I do not want to expose myself and be vulnerable). These songs felt like an outlet to me.

Awww sorry for making you cry!! The songs really are emotional and makes you remember you’re not alone. But also remembering that loneliness can be hard 🥹🥹❤️
The message that they always portrayed and wanted us to get from them was that looking at others didn't matter, that it was ok to go at our own pace, do what we want, be what we want. And not like some other groups with messages in their songs who don't apply them with themselves, SKZ symbolizes what they express in their songs.
I always felt like falling behind, not being enough.
I also suffered from loneliness a lot, because I have two older brothers who left the house when I was a baby to live their lives (huge age gap), with whom I am really close, and who I only see once a year since birth. I could say my brothers are my favorites persons on earth.
Stray kids feels like family in a sense. I kinda see them as older brothers, and they are fulfilling that huge hole in my heart while during the whole year I am waiting to see my brothers.
I am so thankful for everything they helped me get through.
I also want to point out a song : grow up. This song is my confort song, the only thing capable of calming me when I have panic attacks and anxiety.
Lastly, they were some mistakes in this color coded video of phobia, and I know it because it's one of my favorite songs from them lmao. The OP gave some Changbin in singing (!!) lines to Chan, some Felix singing (!!) lines to Hyunjin. It was kinda frustrating because they don't sing often and I live for their beautiful vocal tones, especially Felix's soft singing voice !

It’s been stray kids that makes me remember that I should only compare myself to myself and not to others if I want to grow. I felt like for a long time I was never good enough, never smart enough, pretty enough, skinny enough etc. but I’m trying to remind myself whenever those thoughts come back in that I am enough. Me right now. And I should just focus on myself not comparing myself to others.

Stray kids came into my life when I was dealing with severe depression and I couldn't keep going, everything was just so hard but then I met them. I did not know anything about kpop at the time. They made me laugh and made me happy even if it was just for a moment. Their songs mean so much to me especially streetlight is so so special because I can relate to it so much. It hits different when you know they write the lyrics based on their own experiences and thoughts.. Now I'm 22 and luckily I won my battle against depression after 3 years & I can say that stray kids helped me so much like I can't even explain.. Chan's room is my comfort place. It's so mind blowing that a lot of stays found skz when they needed it the most.

chan always says that he wants stays to not feel alone in what they're going through and feeling, and i think that really comes through in their lyrics. skz walk us through what they feel and experience rather than providing a solution necessarily? and i think that makes them more relatable. like 'idk what to do but we'll work it out together because we understand each other' kind of vibe
Haha I know right, the lyrics are too much sometimes. But yes I completely get with just being there for someone and not providing solutions. Sometimes we just need someone to walk along side us so we don’t feel isolated and alone. For the most part I know my solutions I just want to tell people for them to be on my side and understand what I’m feeling, not how to fix me. 🥹🥹❤️❤️

I myself am a fine wine stay (older than the kids). I came across God's Menu as an ad from a Twice's mv before. Never did I know that JYP has boy groups. JYPE is mostly known for their girl groups.
At that time, God's Menu was a refresher. I had been seeing some groups recycling the same things over and over again. Their music is hard hitting. But what made me stay are the songs that hit the heart. My personal favourites are You Can Stay, Secret Secret and Blueprint. Their songs speak words I can't put to words. And all the more you can appreciate its genuineness because they participate with the writing.
Stray Kids saved me. They saved many lives, and continuously inspired many people.
Also, how can I forget! #Lovestay!!

As someone who's been depressed for more than 10 years, Stray Kids' songs gave me a lot of comfort and eased my mind at a level i never expected they would. I always felt lonely and discovering them was the best thing that could happen cause i finally felt understood and even loved. Every single one of their songs had me crying so much 🥲

Speaking about me, Stray Kids take a special place in my heart. I'm their huge fan since pre-debut. They help me going through the worst episodes of my life and give me support, which I'm not taking from my family. When I suddenly realized that most of my friends left me alone, skz became my friends. When it feels like everything is falling apart this guys make me move on. I just want to add to all these beautiful reasons for liking skz. So around a year ago I started watching skz and kingdom and immediately fell in love with them. They are so comforting and make me so happy and it may sound really weird but I find comfort in watching emotional clips of things. And just cry along with them bc I finally don’t feel lonely. Their songs just have a way of just hitting the right place and just burst out crying. I feel the exact same way about them feeling like family. It just feels like you belong with them doesn’t it. Im so glad that my friends were obsessed with BTS, bc of that I fell in love BTS first and after some time I fell in love with more kpop groups, like Seventeen and Ateez. And after that I finally had a feeling about being somewhere that made me feel safe enough to let out all my emotions. I hope that they give that to you as well!

If I had a dollar for every time a Kpop group had a b-side I like that puns on the similarity between the words "mirror" in English and "maze" in Korean, I would have three dollars, which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened thrice. :p
"Another Day" sounds like a rainy day song. I'm not sure I'd listen to it on purpose, but I probably wouldn't skip it. And the poetry in the lyrics is, indeed, fantastic.
"Phobia" is a song I did actually already know! Someone who really wants me to be a STAY showed it to me because they know I like synth-pop and dance-y tracks.
"Streetlight" has to be my favorite from an artistic perspective. I have a hard time vibing to rap, so I probably wouldn't put it on that often, but it's probably the song I think is the most beautiful of these four. The chorus-y feeling to the vocals in that last chorus? Oof. Right in the feels.
I know this is old, but I really don't mind when you cry in your videos. When someone is _genuinely_ emotional, it makes you feel closer to them. Also like I wish I could hug you, but yeah. It's not annoying or bad or anything like that.

SKZ has helped me in ways I cannot explain these past few months that I have known them- I was never really able to get into kpop until my friends showed me this wonderful group. Even though I haven't even known them for half a year yet I feel like I've known them for years. I've cried many times because of how relatable their songs are, but not only because of the songs but because of the clear support and love they show for their STAY. I've been through a tough few months, probably the worst so far and it feels like they've been there every step of the way. Channie's 'I Hate to Admit' leaves me sobbing every time I listen to it and it really shows off his vocals incredibly well it's probably one of my top comfort songs right now.

STREETLIGHT is a favourite of mine - the lyrics are just amazing and Changbin's voice! You can just tell he really gets the experience, which is clearly common among Stray Kids fans - I guess there's a lot of streetlight behaviour amongst us, and that's quite comforting too, to know that there are a lot of kind and emotionally generous people in the fanbase. "newer" stays tend to start the "underrated" discourse when they are just in the wrong crowd. stays KNOW, RECOGNIZE, and PRAISE them in all the things they excel in and we even witnessed the countless times they were praised by non fans. its just that these are NOT a basic fact that non fans get to know right off the bat and/or there are things they are MORE known for like Lee Know as the lead dancer or part of danceracha.

Idk if I’ve commented this before and I don’t know if it’s actually a b side but I’d like to recommend grow up. The whole song is essentially saying you’re going to be ok it’s ok to take your time and allow yourself to grow. It’s helped me a lot and I’ve listened to it like a lot! I’d also like to recommend Han alien, you can stay, sunshine, Felix and Changbin cause I like you, and Hyunjin little star! They’ve all really comforted me while I’ve been feeling down!
