Can I ask, is the Extreme ISO any good for live production? Like a church event? Cause I'm worried about the sound, I prefer XLR more than the TRS, will my sound not be compromised?
@@zak0937 Thanks! I finally did buy the SDI Extreme. Amazing machine. Have it mounted in a 3ru fly pack along with a Blackmagic Hyperdeck mini, Web Presenter and Multiview4.
Do the AUX outs embed the program audio onto the feed? I'd be a very happy man if I could have two ISO feeds with my embedded program audio on Output 1 & 2
What is the noise level of this switcher? I switch and mix audio in a silent environment...I assume this has fans (though my old ATEM TV Studio from 2009 is silent), but are they loud?
Most of the larger projectors have SDI inputs. Our monitors have SDI inputs as well. I do wish that the multi view out was HDMI that would help quite a few people as well. The big advantage of SDI is the length you can run without converters or boosters.
Hdmi can be good for short runs. Large shows with bigger projection often are located further from the tech table, thus sdi being better suited for the long signal run.
HDMI is a horrible connection very finicky most devices need handshakes most cables don't work reliably you just convert the SDI back to HDMI right at your source with a mini converter SDI workflow is beautiful and you can make your own cables very easily anyone can do it just by watching one or two TH-cam videos about it
For cameras SDI is a no brainer. But I wish they would of given the option of at least 1-2 HDMI input and one HDMI output for multi view. Now we have to rely on SDI converters for those devices that don’t have them.
There are only two things I'm bummed out about in regards to inputs/outputs: No XLR input and no HDMI output for multiview. Other than that this looks amazing.
I hope BMD eventually make use of the Sting button. Its been sitting there useless for years.
Truth!

If you send a camera feed to one of the four aux outputs will the audio from that camera follow and go out the output?
I always livestream to 1 platform, but didn’t know you can add a second. How can I do that, I only see a place where I can add 1 stream key
That thing looks like a game changer !
Yes it does
Just bought one 2 weeks ago. It is!
Would have been good if there was an aux input for audio
There's two of them Mike one and Mike two those can be configured for line level so they're basically aux
There are still two 1/8 inputs for audio.
Does anyone know if the mic jacks are TRS connections that can go right into an XLR connector/adaptor.
@@DocMicrowaveThey are 3.5mm trs

hi how can i have in preview my cam ? i connect out sdi caméra with input sdi 1 atem sdi extreme iso but i have not video. Just have picture fixe
Is it possible to run a Propresenter computer into one of the SDI inputs?
Yes, you need an HDMI to SDI convertor
Definitely, you can either use a HDMI to SDI converter or if your computer has an SDI output you can do it that way.

I think they're all recorded ISO
We believe they do.

I can understand the inputs being SDI for long camera runs, but wouldn't hdmi outputs be better for compatibility with screens, projectors etc?
