I maybe got to battle pass level 20-something of season 1, bought the campaign for $60 upon the "full release" of the game, then realized that nothing else came out with the "full release". I've never been so glad that I quit something early, and this is coming from a big fan of CE through Reach.

halo infinite fans after completing a challenge to kill 1000 players in a single match to get 50xp
I wish it rewarded you for playing and doing random things like normal. And then have specific challenges for a more direct credit point approach. Getting 50 xp per match isn’t a good idea long term. it needs way more work on getting XP for things you would do normally/randomly like running with the flag/ protecting the flag n other such things you should be rewarded for. Challenges should be to unlock battle pass and events but it should always have an in depth XP system that rewards you for playing good. That isn’t in infinite unless you simply only done those specific challenges. Winning doesn’t even feel rewarding in infinite anymore. Sure it comes up with all you’re badges at the end but that’s about the best reward for you’re actual play you get to see 🤣 the other challenges are rewarding you for getting those specific kills that is not rewarding you for playing good……. and it drags it’s not good atm.

It doesnt work half the time. with how shit the challenge system is its best not to take any chances that would cause you to lose progress if you manage to make any in a match
It always works. The UI doesn’t show it, but the server always keeps track of it. You can verify it by playing another match through the end and seeing that your previous match XP will be there.
The game is great until you realize that most of the shit in it (customs,theater, desync, etc.) is still broken. Oh and no forge or co-op or organized playlists or progression system
Can't wait for the full release of this game in like 3 years from now, then hopefully it'll be enjoyable to play for long periods of time
It just sad that a game with so much potential just goes to waste

The open world is just bare, the missions are repetitive, and the best parts of the plot happen before the game starts (the war for zeta halo? the one where the banished massacred the UNSC? Yeah, they didn't let us see any of that).
Escharum lectured you the whole campaign, and I literally could not care less about defeating him. I also found the pilot annoying.
When it gives you the 300xp challenge for 25 headshots and you're like "ah finally, I can play normally".

I bought the battlepass for season one and almost completed it (didn´t really care for the last 3 tiers). The freaking challenge system completely burnt me out on the game. Recently tried to get back into it for season 2, hoping they had tweaked the system a bit but no, it´s still ass. And I probably would have bought the bp again but the way the system is built atm is just way too tedious for me
They literally put a limit on fun.
I only do like 3-4 matches a day because of how skimped you get on xp in the long run. Even with the double exp wears out when you only get 50xp per match.
yeah i got burnt out n lvl fuckin 36. Now i will only play this bs money grabbing shitfest if my friends are playin and even then the game still pisses me off with its exp system

@@scrotumscratcher2474 they ‘changed’ the exp system early on so your first match is about 200xp, then it goes down in 50exp increments after a few matches until the bare minimum you get from then on is just that 50.
Like i mentioned, they put a limit on fun.

Between the challenges and the desync, I managed to play the first week of this season before dropping it again. The gunplay is great until you dump multiple mags into a guy and he stares at you like you shot him with a dollar store nerf gun. Or when you see a guy running around with a skewer rod sticking out of their helmet. Or when you swing the hammer at a guy 1m away and they don't even lose shield but you get one shot by a swing from 5m away. Or when you come across superman who manages to melee lunge farther than the thrusters.

Reach had the best gunplay. Everyone can whinge about the bloom all they want, but it actually added a layer of skill to using hitscan weapons. You can't just hold down the trigger to get kills with the DMR.

The only "bad" gun in Reach was the Assault Rifle.
@@nercksrule power weapons are kind of a given so i don't count them, so are grenades. Plasma rifle, repeater, AR, concussion rifle (to an extent), focus rifle, spiker, all of these are just made obsolete with the DMR which is made worse by the fact you spawn with it more often then the AR.

I mean I would understand that the gameplay is kinda better in this game but I love the clankyness of the old halo games like 2/3/reach. It feels better in a way, like you feel like a heavy spartan that goes fucking fast for it's weight

They should be challenges that just ask you to get kills, assists, or caps so they reward you for playing the game. As opposed to hunting down a specific gun, getting kills with said gun, dying, repeat.
They made a sandbox game that lets you play in a wide variety of ways… then attached a challenge system that handcuffs you to one play style. I’ve never seen anything like this before.
Or you end up running around with a br/dmr like 3,4 reach and challenges incentiveses off meta gameplay...
I can't believe how many LSS standing matches I've had to sit through with these damn challenges. I wanted to play BTB but instead I'm eliminated watching 2 cloaked spartans struggling to find each other. The Entrenched event was fun though. Quick. Painless.

For real. I haven’t played infinite since December because the game is so laggy and I love Halo. I read the books and shit but I’m done with the franchise tbh. It was the tv show that made me despise the apathy.
I was recommended this and realized it's a second Zanny channel. I thought to myself, "no way am I subbing to the same channel twice and cluttering up my already impossible to scroll channel list..."
But I laughed so many times in just the first 3 minutes I just have to sub. Again.
I’m not a huge fan of it but I love how Zanny’s armor is just Jin-Roh Asian UNSC marine armor. It doesn’t even look like a Spartan.
Excited for the Eaglestrike core to actually have Jin-Roh armor
@@halcyon1644 you really just need to swap Zanny’s face plate to the eaglestrike helm with the Stahlhelm and you’ve got it. The US army lookin helmet makes Eaglestrike appeal to me as a neat costume but I wouldn’t use the core at all over Mk VII. The Isaac Clarke/Doom helmet sucks, btw.

This game's progression system is an insult to the player. You actually play a 15 minute match while desperately doing everything besides having fun and playing to win so that at the end of the match, 343 can spit in your mouth with XP measured out in nanoliters.

The fact that 343 thought that launching a Halo game without an actual functional progression system was okay baffles me, then they turn around and go "durr hurr sorry guys we definitely respect our players". It's wild man.

Why couldn't they copy what MCC did? There wasn't any game mode specific challenges. There was stuff like "get kills with precision weapons" "get kills with Close Quarters Weapons" "Get kills with a vehicle" and such. Not ones specific for weapons or one game mode.
I see the body related choices aren't just affecting me. Nice. I have one of the feminine voices selected for my spartan, but in-game. I will use the default male one instead.

Double xp for your first 6 games guarantees two levels a day. And look ahead at the next challenges so you can stack some and get them done faster

Have you heard of War Thunder, almost every player would describe their feelings as suffering. The game only works because of the sunken cost fallacy and most vehicle is priced at 40-60$ (there are hundreds of them).

They should give you xp and bits of credits for medals. With new medals coming for wins and kills, this would encourage full usage of the sandbox and provide rewards for making incredible plays. Fine tuning might be needed for different gamemodes but this would be awesome. Giving XP would fix the progression issues and giving small amounts of credits would solve the monetization problem.

Honestly, Infinite's challenges wouldn't be nearly as big of an issue if the fucking "Play a Match" challenges didn't have diminishing fucking EXP payout. I just want to enjoy the fucking game, not suffer an aneurysm out of sheer anger when I die immediately after finally getting my grubby little gamer fingers on a Commando.
You have to play like 5 matches to get the 50xp challenges a day. Which is like an hr of gameplay per day, if you're sinking more time into it than that, than you shouldn't have a problem figuring out how to do challenges
