It's not properly working as it should because you have very thick section of hair plus you need to guide the flat iron with your comb. So it straightens every strand of hair. You need to comb through it first,apply heat protectant, blow dry it, brush the hair again, then use this with a comb in smaller sections if you have thick hair. Else it won't work properly. Not to mention you are using a power outlet outside of the house, it is exposed to heat dust rain etc. Should use it inside the house in a plug that is not charged to the inverter or generator in case of power cut. Else it will short circuit.
