Trains at Speed - West Coast Mainline

welcome back to another video from Spottersuk, today we are on the West Coast mainline with a video of trains at speed on the West Coast. in this video you will see services by Avanti West Coast London North Western Railway. In this video we filmed at Watford Junction, Milton Keynes Central, Tamworth, Leighton buzzard and also Berkhamsted services running at speed of 125 miles an hour.
The class 390 Pendolino is enabled to speed round corners at full speed as they are able to tilt round the corners allowing them to travel much faster and reduce Journey times. The voyagers can only go 110 round certain corners including Berkhamsted Station, and the class 350’s are only 100. This technology built into the pendolinos have enabled them to become a transport icon for England.
Furthermore, The Voyagers will be replaced by new Hitachi Units like the Azuma and IET Units of LNER and GWR, this will reduce journey times even more as Class 800’s are much quicker off the line compared to a voyager and even a pendolino. My Favourite Train was the Class 43 HST but i do have a soft spot for the 390, i love the sound when the fly round the bends of through stations.
