Bonnie is so great. A strong, independent woman who's in touch with her emotions and talent. Thank you for all the beautiful music. You're an amazing young lady.
"Something to Talk About" encapsulates the fun, carefree, prosperous decade of the 90s in America. Bill Clinton was in the White House, a lot of people were getting very rich in the stock market, and Bonnie Raitt’s fantastic, nasty, gut-churning slide geetar funk blues music was all over the radio.
Do something from her 1971 debut album a full 20 years before this one. “Since I Fell For You” on that album is a wonderful cover of the Lenny Welch heartbreak song he had made popular in early 1960s. Actually it’s actually originally from 1940 era. In Bonnie’s version don’t be expecting her guitar work but rather her soulful vocals (convincing and beautiful) accompanied by bass, piano, and saxophone. Try it!
*Angela* Oh,I did...Sing,I mean...But full out....I JUST HAPPEN To have the same vocal level and nearly sound like her... So yeah...Not ONLY did I MOUTHED IT, But Fully sung it LIKE HER..I even did an Eye-Contact way of singing it WITH YOU...I REALLY got into it,lol! You also got MY 50th LIKE!!! Great Choice...It is too bad we couldnt`ve performed it together, lol!
Yeah, whooo! Angela, so cool how well you know this song, I sang it right with you. Always loved this song, I had this on cassette single (remember those???) and used to play it on repeat. Thanks for this pick!!! 😄😄
Bonnie is unstoppable and plays a great slide guitar. Check out "I can't make you love me" and "Angel from Montgomery" both great songs of hers. I saw her on a recent concert on Public TV and she still sounds great.
In my opinion, one of Bonnie's best covers is her unique rendition of Del Shannon's "Runaway". She puts her own spin on it, and takes it to another level. I don't think there's a Bonnie Raitt song that I don't like.
Hi - I have watched some of your Reactions, and I saw you've done most of Hall and Oates Hits. But there's one you'd love that's kind of a sleeper, but one of their best! It's 'Some Things are Better Left Unsaid'. It's different, but Great, IMO! :)
As I heard, she was about to give up on her music career. Drinking too much. Gained weight. Then she got a call from Prince who wanted to do a duet. So she got back into the studio. Stopped drinking. Lost weight. The Prince thing never happened, but soon after she hit it big.
She said that Stevie Ray Vaughan was a factor in her cleaning up too. When he did it and said he was playing better sober, it helped her decide to follow his example.
Hi Angela please react to The Bee Gees -lonely day lonely nights. And to love some body. It’s when they started getting big just wait till you see and hear them.

I always loved this song, Bonnie's voice is so delightful to listen to. 😊❤
Your lip syncing and dancing made this one of the best reactions I’ve seen in a long time. ❤
Bonnie is the queen of Slide 🎸
I was fortunate to see Bonnie Raitt in concert in the early 70s. Thanks for all the positive vibes!
Lol your interpretation of this song is precious

This is the song that made me notice Bonnie Raitt..her voice and style of singing I found uniquely attractive!
Ever notice how much it's like her father's song "People will say we're in love" from "Oklahoma"?
I think this should be a monthly thing.
Angela’s Choice
