Thanks Matt! Yeah I thought it was appropriate to surround the little cabinet with the cartridges. It's really cool this thing has all the games on there. These things are cool little toys for what you pay for them. I have no complaints really.
This mega man one is great. So is the contra. People just need to get it out of their heads that they aren't getting a replica mini arcade. They are great for what they are and what they cost.
@The_Bad_Guy. Imma get one based off your review, didn't know this one came out. I got yhe street fighter 2 and the joystick basically became unplayable after a few sessions.. I feel with this game tho it won't be as hard-core on the joystick.
It's held up great from the time of this video. Now that being said it doesn't get hardcore play either. Just occasionally. But either way if you're a mega man fan, especially the NES version, you'll really dig this thing.
Hi, I am a new subscriber. Jester Tester sent me from his channel. Jesse actually got me hooked on these my arcade games. I purchased the Space Invaders micro and the Street Fighter 2. From his videos. Those are absolutely incredible. I love them Especially the Street Fighter one, it plays great. The Space Invaders one is cool also. They replicated the mirrored screen like the original arcade cabinet. I am liking this one also probably will grab this one also, along with the Atari 50 micro. Have fun😊

I'm very happy with it! I do wish it had a lit marquee but it's not that big of a deal. Other than that I have no bad things to say about it really. The games are spot on to the originals and they play really well.
@TheBadGuyMikeWerley These are the new generations of My arcades. The originals had crappy d pads with a joystick screwed into the middle. But these all have pretty nice responsive joysticks. Yes, it would have been cool if the marquee lit.

Oh thanks man! That cabinet is modded to play NES games. Yeah I kind of adopted the Razor Ramon persona haha. He was one of my all time favorites back in the day. It's a shame what happened to him.

This is cool, and I had no idea MyArcade had done this! The Mega Man games did technically have arcade releases. Sort of. * Pushes glasses up on nose * So, back in the '80s (and, to a lesser extent the '90s) Nintendo had an arcade system that was basically an NEs, called the PlayChoice 10. It literally played NES games, but with the pay to play format of an arcade machine. Anyway, the Mega Man games were compatible with the PlayChoice 10 system, soooo... Kinda sorta Mega Man arcade games. Either way, this is cool, and this was a great review/overview!
Yeah I used to love those play choice 10s! I meant technically mega man didn't have a dedicated arcade cabinet. But yes you're right there may have been a play choice out there that had mega man games on it. Dude this little arcade game is really cool. If you are a fan of mega man you would love it. It's actually not that hard to play the games either.
@@The_Bad_Guy. i never actually beat it , the end boss is a mothersucker you gotta dodge parts of dr wiley as he teleports from one side of the screen to the other , also the ice stage you gotta jump on the air and land on a platform that only materialize for a second at a time !
I'm wishing I had gotten this one instead of the smaller "nano" unit that was only $20 bucks, because the screen on that one has the graphics compressed too much.
I almost bought that one because it was cheaper but I figured what the heck, may as well get the bigger one. I wanted that light up coin door! I guess at least you can still play mega man. Hopefully it's still a decent experience! Thanks for checking the video out I really appreciate it.

After hear Ben from Numskull on the super game room dudes, talk about the challenges they had making their space invaders, it really makes this one from my arcade pretty impressive for what they did.

They really are! I made it to Dr. Wilys Castle on Mega Man 4. I imagine if I gave it enough time I could probably beat it. You're right it's easy to play. Controls very well.
Mega Man has always been a personal favorite series of mine, but I'm not really sold on this. While the design of the device is solid, playing the NES games via a small arcade stick is not really a selling point to me.

I'm looking at this for a gift for my cousin, hate to bother ya about it but I wanted to know if this is a nice display thing you could plug in next to your PC- Does it have any kind of attract mode? You know like the arcades where gameplay happens when not actually playing it so it could just be nice thing to have on?
No unfortunately there is no attract mode if you just turn on the game. You would have to enter into a specific game and then it would run through the beginning of the game on a loop. So I guess there's somewhat of an attract mode if that makes sense haha. I keep mine out on display. I definitely think that's one of the best features. It's a nice desk/shelf item. Especially for the price. Hope that answered your question. If you have any more I would be happy to help.
Dude, (1) screen tearing, (2) shimmering, (3) not pixel perfect. If you watch carefully at 7:15 you can see a clear hint at the screen problems you're signing up for.
I mean I understand this thing isn't going to be top quality. I was trying to stress that during the video that this isn't an ideal way to play if you want to do some serious gaming. I was basically more or less saying this is a fun little game for what you pay for it.
@@The_Bad_Guy. I have reviewed My Arcade products on my own channel, and I have SOME appreciation for them, but the company is BADLY MISTAKEN in thinking the same screen and software that can handle Galaga (just barely!) can handle Mega Man. It can't!
@@VEGANVANIA I haven't really noticed any screen issues while playing it, although admittedly I haven't really played it for any long periods of time. It's more of a pick up and play for a few minutes here and there for me. But it's mega man and I love the OG NES mega mans so I had to pick it up.
If you sit at the main menu it plays music but if you go into each game and don't hit anything it does it's normal attract mode. But you physically have to select the game you want for it to do it.

Can you save your games
No you can't. But like the NES Mega Man games, there is the same password system and it works on the "My Arcade"
