I bought a ton of games from Hollywood video when they went out of buisness they all came with the reprinted cover I am sure that is where that game came from
I was racking my head where I had seen that type of reprint backing from and I was thinking the same thing. I'm almost certain it's from Hollywood Video as well!
Hey Caleb. I've been a subscriber now for a while and been meaning to say I truly enjoy and appreciate your channel. You seem like a genuine, honest person. Hard to come by these days. So thank you for the frequent videos. Whenever you post a video I tend to put aside any problems/frustrations I have going on and I just focus on your enthusiasm and passion for your craft; as well as your sincerity. It is as informative as much as it is entertaining So thank you again.
I've always been a huge fan of Road Rash 16:00. I think I need to fire up my old playstation and enjoy some motorcycle combat. Thanks for sharing Caleb!
I heard that you came and purchased alot from my local store here in Clarksville TN. The owner is cool aswell as his store. I am glad you found my favorite game store and am looking forward to seeing the video over the massive pickup you purchased. I wouldn't blame you on making the three hour trip back to his store for more purchases!
damn like i said before im shocked youre hitting deals at the exchange. i worked at a location for a while and i know we were heavy on keeping up with price charting prices so im loving it
I found you a couple weeks ago and I've been binging all of your videos, every single one of them is entertaining! Keep up the great work! Love from Cali.
That is, indeed, a Hollywood Video reprint case. I always groan when I see them instead of original art, BUT, a part of me thinks these rental versions will be sought after someday. Kinda like my Blockbuster Video Virtual Boy.
Thank you for commenting. For some reason I kept thinking it was Blockbuster or something similar. Glad to know its Hollywood Video and MAN does that take me back. In my city, Riverside California, we had those stores MANY years back and it just takes me back to when life was fun. I still have a few of the Hollywood Video cover art for some of the games in my collection. Again, thank you for commenting because that just helped me complete my thoughts on what these cases were in my collection.
Your videos are so entertaining, just the fact you’re full time and hustling daily is awesome. Have you ever been robbed trying to make a deal? It’s so sketchy now a days.
So you literally went to my 2 local game stores like the exact locations I go to on Washington st....hopefully one day I’ll run into you that would be INSANE!!! I go to those stores about 1 time a week....that disc replay usually isn’t like that but in the past month it’s been pretty bad there’s literally nothing on the shelves like usual
I've been paying extra attention for Pokemon because of your videos and made a killing last week. Found Pokemon Colosseum, Gale Of Darkness, Pokepark 1 & 2 and Battle Revolution all in one thrift store near me and wound up paying less than $5 total for the bunch. Thanks!!
Really enjoying your channel Caleb - I found it after searching for PS5 pre-order squabbles and came across your video. Slowly working my way through the rest of your catalogue. Refreshing to find an ethical reseller who produces enjoyable and informative content. Sub'd.
May be late to the party but Im glad I found the channel! Been binge watching your content and learning a thing or too form the info you give us the viewers! Originally was looking for buying Pokémon ds games which is how I found your Chanel 😄
Hey Man keep an eye out for xeno blade 2 and xeno blade torna on the switch! Sold listings are upwards of like 150-200$ they’re out of print but because of pyra and mythra in smash the prices on the game have sky rocketed
So the story behind those reprinted cases (this may be wrong but this is my knowledge of them) there was this movie rental place called Movie Gallery they also had video games but every time they got one in they used a reprint cover.. I bought a bunch of games from movie gallery and they all came in those cases
Ahh man stickers hurt my soul, best thing I've ever seen is a small piece of string inside the case with the price label attached to it with scotch tape. Keep it up Phoenix, loving your content. BTW that switch game "BALAN WONDERWORLD" is awful... should be a great flip in a couple years if the sales don't pick up.
That DragonBall case that had the writing on the back was from Hollywood video and there gamecrazy gaming side. They use to do those backs to inform customers of the game and to easily identify there rental copies.
Congrats on the 50k subs Caleb 😁 not surprised ur a great bloke and love the content can easily see this channel getting to 1million subs keep up the great content 😁
I lucked out recently and got a galaxy 3ds edition with Pokémon y, heart gold, soul silver, platinum, omega ruby, alpha sapphire, ultra sun, ultra moon, two monster hunter games, and fire emblem fates for $330. Pokémon game prices are crazy right now so hoping to make a nice return on this buy.
Target had those Pokemon Ultra Sun and Moon at 19.99 back in December and January and I'm pretty much selling out of them now on Amazon at 50 bucks. I think if you send those in for Q4, you may be able to get close to 100 I bet.
On Genesis, you’re looking for the exclusive RPG’s & their versions of stuff like Contra & Castlevania. The Disney games are better on Genesis than SNES generally also. Only sports game to lookout for in the big money range is Tecmo Super Bowl 2 (low print run like 30k copies.)
So many people have started reselling in the last year that all the game hunters got games on lock down...The retro stores hope that people will bring them in but we all go out sourcing....Lots more of us doing it means lots less for the game stores.
Something I just don’t understand is how Disc Replay & others of their ilk aren’t in the STL area, but they are in smaller metro areas like Indy, Louisville, & Lexington.
Yeah don’t come to STL unless you’re going to go to Trade N Games in Fenton, MO. Beware you won’t catch him slipping though on anything that isn’t a recent CE game. Caught him slipping twice in the last year plus (one to resell & one for collection.)
Also, my roommate just moved out and he left behind a gameboy. I'm not too familiar with gaming systems but the back says model: ags-101. And in it was a copy of Super Mario Advance. I know you said handhelds are harder to come across these days so if it's something you would want, let me know. I dont really play and would rather it go somewhere with a purpose instead of collecting dust.
Have you covered how you pack these games and consoles when you ship them to fba? I used to resell amiibos on amazon years ago that I would source from south Africa and australia.
Instead of reselling these games why not play them?? It seems like you don’t appreciate video game culture. I hate seeing people find good deals on fantastic games, just to sell them. You’re the reason I spend hundreds on some of my favorite nostalgic games man.
I think the pokemon sealed stuff will shoot up alot but it will take a few years. Also I hate when I come across a gamesotre and I find a place with printed games boxes
Nice new video, always cool watching your resale adventures! Oh, also skip the Wonderworld game, it is terrible. The game should be going for like 20 not 59 when new.
Been watching your videos and decided to go out to my game stores and see if I can find the slipping on some prices and I was shocked. Sparkster for the sega genesis complete for $74.99 and shatterhand on the nes complete in box for $109.99.
Cubic ninja for 3ds was really expensive at one point in time. Due to some kind of exploit if I recollect correctly... Have no idea what it goes for nowadays.
I did the same on the pokemon games at my walmart, unfortunately, I only had one ultra moon but like 10 ultra suns. Good tip on keeping em. Imma do that nd on ge mario all stars on the switch
You make it seem it's easy to sell retro games in USA. Where I live (Finland) you can try to sell games at their value but absolutely nobody buys them...
hey man be on the lookout for Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes on Switch if you can find it at retail price. selling for over $100 on ebay right now
I can’t believe you were a debt collector. I’m glad you ran away from that when you could. A majority of debt collectors are so slimy. What a turn around!
Caleb is all ready a celebrity, getting recognized in local game stores... how much longer until he is on Dancing With The Stars?
I keep applying, last time my spot was snatched by some McConnell guy
The Dragon ball game is a hollywood video type of case art. They Made them for their games if im not mistaken
I bought a ton of games from Hollywood video when they went out of buisness they all came with the reprinted cover I am sure that is where that game came from
I was racking my head where I had seen that type of reprint backing from and I was thinking the same thing. I'm almost certain it's from Hollywood Video as well!
Yep, definitely a Hollywood video reprint...but the barcode on the back makes me think it was from the GameXCrazy side of the store.
Could be from Movie Gallery, as well. Although Movie Gallery and Hollywood Video might have been owned by the same company?
@@fbguy796 movie gallery bought out Hollywood video in 2005 I think. So we are all correct😃
he was aggressive pulling deja vu out of the protector, thought for sure it was about to rip lol
Haha same

Only started watching you recently. Loving your work so far! Keep it up!

It’ll be coming out in a few weeks or so!
7:32 Genesis NHL's are cult classics, not worth much money but a really good game lol

OMG I loved the Toy Story 2 action game... I played that so much on PC!
That is, indeed, a Hollywood Video reprint case.

Dude! You’re so helpful in my game hunting adventures
That seal on the gameboy game was a re-seal. When I worked at Fry's, we used to re-seal our games with the exact same shrink-wrap.
The Dragon Ball Z Game Art is from Hollywood Videos Game Store called "GameCrazy" it was their store within a store.
I miss GameCrazy, they was ten times better then GS.
@@abeezysportsxentertainment the back is from Rentals. They got rid of the original cases for rental games.
Your videos are so entertaining, just the fact you’re full time and hustling daily is awesome. Have you ever been robbed trying to make a deal? It’s so sketchy now a days.

Yea the one by skyline is the one I go to super cool
That case art is Hollywood Video. I find those all the time in my area, despite Hollywood video never being here lol
The best part of the video was you flipping that banjo kazooie box lmao 😂 love you’re videos man

Dood you're on Retro Ricks channel. Hype episode for me!!!
Haha me too!
You should keep any and all sealed games you find for older systems. The prices on sealed games keeps climbing because of the graded market.
That Disney skate game is super fun. Especially if you haven’t played it in the past! I recommend it 100%
that disney skate game was the best! my friends and i used to play it all the time.

The song in the background in the store was peace sells by megadeath
Enjoyed the video man! Do you wear a backpack in all the stores? I know some places don't allow them around here.
Yep, only been asked not to twice
That DragonBall case that had the writing on the back was from Hollywood video and there gamecrazy gaming side. They use to do those backs to inform customers of the game and to easily identify there rental copies.
Congrats on the 50k subs Caleb 😁 not surprised ur a great bloke and love the content can easily see this channel getting to 1million subs keep up the great content 😁
This was filmed in Greenwood Indiana that Disc Replay is my local store!
It's from Hollywood videos and game crazy. Those all went under here in CA but that's where the cases are from when you buy the games from them
Hollywood video reprint cover art
So nostalgic
The grind continues!
That gold Wii Classic Controller Pro is from the Goldeneye 007 bundle on the Wii, maybe that’s why you couldn’t find a separate listing on Amazon.

That Beyond Two Souls PS3 Steelbook at Half Price Books was a GameStop exclusive (missing slipcover,) unsure if that has retained any value.
$25 for ps2 sing star? Shit should be free.
Is this in Indianapolis Indiana? If so I was literally there today at both Disc Replay and The Exchange!
That reprint case for dbz is most likely from a video rental store, I have a copy of soul calibur 4 with the same style of case
Something I just don’t understand is how Disc Replay & others of their ilk aren’t in the STL area, but they are in smaller metro areas like Indy, Louisville, & Lexington.

A new banger of a vid
Balan wonderland is already on sale at Best Buy too around a month after the release date.
Can we just take a second and give a round of applause to that intro. Did he just say he never heard of cut the rope?

Pretty sure that DBZ case is from Hollywood Video. I worked at Hollywood Video as a teenager around 20 years ago.
I’m also doing what you’re doing with Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon. Got 10 UMs and 2 USs.

Disney skate adventures is one of my favorite ps2 games
What is the brand and the model of your mini TV that u use to test consoles please. Does it have Hdmi and Av ports?
pour some rubbing alcohol on that label on the deja vu and it'll come right off without risk of tearing the packaging.
What’s a good rank for video games Caleb? Thank you in advance if you reply!
I found PS3 slpatterhouse, lollipop chainsaw, painkiller, ps4 Godzilla, fortnite and deadpool at goodwill I did already take it
Picture Phoenix rollin'
I just sold that gauntlet legends for $80 on ebay you picked up and put back
Fresh phoenix back at it again #sealedgames
Those pokemon games are a very good investment! Great job snagging them
The good thing with the pokemon games is that you can at least break even on them i like the risk on it
Keep up the good work my guy
Hope you kept Disney's Skate Adventure... killer game by the same developers of the Tony Hawk series
