For some reason the clock in the background is a really nice touch. The uncertainty of tomorrow is constant, and Sieg questions it while the clock keeps droning on. The clock reminds him of his eternal life and how time is eternal. It's something we don't think about, but i'm sure he has

I know I'm almost a year late to this philosophical ASMR but: "happily ever after" *is* what happens next--"ever after" means "forever more". In the limited case of the human life, it can be read as "for the rest of their lives". It involves more than the final page of the story. They still struggle, because no one has a struggle-free life, but they choose each other--they wake up every day and choose to face it all together, and put in the work it takes to maintain the relationship and be happy with one another. It doesn't mean every moment of every day is going to be perfect, it just means that together, they can be content in spite of the imperfections.

all the philosophical themes in this video are really resonating with me deeply at this current point in my life. the existential crisis, ruminating on the uncertainty of the future, how nothing in life is truly everlasting, the fiery drive so innate and unique to humanity, being human in and of itself, traversing a world distorted by illusions, reality never living up to the fairytale standards we constantly impose upon it only to let ourselves down, the intrinsic craving for intimacy, to be seen and understood and held and loved... how insurmountable it feels, weighing on my shoulders every day. and this is all explored in an equally profound manner with this very endearing vampire character, an immortal on a very different side of life who strives to make sense of the bizarre experience that can only be described as _human._ dearest hollow, your work never ceases to inspire me and leave me awed in some way. i might have cried a little bit. you certainly make me feel understood with these characters and storylines; thank you ♥️

It's not filling, but my being here is giving you something you need. And maybe one day you won't need that from me anymore, and that's okay. Endings aren't bad things. They are like leaving here for someplace else. A change. Change is inevitable. And fairytales are stories. Happily ever after is to help kids sleep. To tell them that great things await them. Maybe not the rescued girl living happily married to the prince or knight, but maybe she finds her true purpose in life or something that keeps her happy and busy that she wouldn't have had the chance to as a poor, civilian girl. Like taking care of her husband's lands while he's away at battle or on business. Or the orphans in the town that she knew by name already. Life is too beautiful to be drawn in a line between beginning and end. No matter how short or long *nudge* a life is, there is always something glimmering on the horizon. .... oh, no wait that's the sun.. 🌄

I have given that question some thought. First of all, fairytales are pure fantasy and very one sided in most cases, from the hero/protagonist's point of view. Fairytales only tell you half of the story and in most fairytales we hear as children, those challenges are simple and are meant to teach children a lesson, but those stories are for entertainment. We don't hear about the struggles or from the other side. When the story ends, it is up to the reader to decide where to take that story next (for instance fanfictions, retellings or in Disney's case some bad sequels... NOT ALL OF THE SEQUELS were bad but I mean the ones for cash grabs to sell more merchandise). Reality is far more complicated than fairytales, goals change, events happen that influence us as people. Our stories (yes we all have a story, it's called life) is not as straightforward as a book, a play, a musical, a video or a movie. Now do me a solid favour and do not interrupt my sleep again in the middle of the night unless it is an emergency. (I will apologise for the long comment but since the vampire asked, that is my response.)
