Wow, you just got your first rock chip heading back to the Lower 48?! Count yourself lucky. I have several. None have cracked or spread over almost a decade. Sad that you left Alaska. Happy you got to see the aurora again. Also, I've heard other TH-camrs say that iOverlander isn't great in Alaska. It makes sense since locals don't want all the good and hidden spots taken by tourists. Best way to keep something hidden is to not post about it. The best way to find spots here is to talk to locals and not post online.
Haha! We definitely got lucky that this is our first chip. Good to hear yours haven’t spread. Hope ours don’t either. 🤞🏼 We’re sad we left AK too, but already talking about coming back! We’re going to look into those lodge caretaker jobs you suggested. Sounds like a great way to be there for winter… and hopefully see even more Northern Lights! Totally makes sense about iOverlander. I wouldn’t want to have those amazing places ruined either. It sure is a special state.

People in my town here in PA shared some photos where they caught it the other night but looked nothing like how it does there. I really enjoyed seeing the video of the lights moving. Go to a windshield repair place and have them do it, I did one on the Tundra and am 1000000% sold on the process. I even have a video on my channel lol
2 comments. 1) customs is so hit or miss. I cross the Canadian border twice this year with my dogs and they had zero interest in my dogs or proof of rabies vaccination. so weird. 2) Does your van not have a table you can both sit at? to eat? to work? You need Lagun table!
I really enjoy this couple’s adventures but agree,standing up to eat and never relaxing as I would is most uncomfortable to me. Understanding this is their way but not mine,I want a comfy chair in front of a campfire,just my dimes worth.
That’s definitely weird about customs… must just depend on the day and person. We’re pretty sure a shakedown will eventually come, but glad it hasn’t yet! We do actually have a Lagun table. We use it for working and playing games, but it’s a bit annoying to get in and out for all our meals. We’ll show it when we get around to filming a tour video. Should be soon!

I have found the glue on the tyrap bases is a little weak over time. I use a drop of super glue to solidify.
