You forgot one screw (at least to film it) that holds motherboard in place. I tried some force but good thing I decided to play it safe and double check last screw that was hidden below LCD monitor's cable.
I just ordered a motherboard for my Latitude 6530...it was on my table this AM, plugged in and working. I went to see a neighbor and when I came back 30 minutes later..dead as a door nail! I have never experienced anything like that! I pulled memory, pulled battery, EVERYTHING..but it seems power goes in but dies i.e nothing turns on. PS is fine as is the hard drive (checked in another PC)..so hopefully the new motherboard will do the trick. Thx for this wonderful video..should make the job quite a bit easier and predictable
Hi so I just brought me a used motherboard with nvidia graphics. I was wondering if thermal paste needed to be applied to the gpu? I noticed people have overheating issues because of that and I don't want to be a victim. I know that the CPU needs to be paste and what laptop motherboard are you using? The integrated one or dedicated graphics one. please get back as soon as possible thanks.
Would an NVS 4200m be built in? I know that the Intel HD 3000 is built in, but what about the NVS? could you replace that with something like, a gtx 680m?
Hi. Even though my laptop is an E6520 (some slight differences) I used this video because it's so well made. I like the fact that you named every component as you removed it. I learned some names. Thanks.
Great video. Easy, clear instructions. I had no problem replacing my motherboard. What did we do before youtube?! Thanks.
We would have to buy a book then struggle with it's instructions
Tq sir for information
Does anything change for the model with nvidia graphics?

hi people...the onboard videocard of this notebook work witha very poor quality. Is there a way to do it better?
Are there better motherboards that would fit this case? If so, what do you recommend?
People these are easy to follow instructions, however there are a couple of screws that werent shown to be taken out, or they were and I missed them.
A truly good video. I wish you had explained how you keep track of the umpteen size screws :) .
Needed to move motherboard from one laptop to another, worked like a charm !!! Thank You!!!

This motherboard has the Nvidia GPU. I don't think the GPU needs thermal paste, I think it uses a thermal pad instead.
Excellent instructional - Thank you!
Also the screws on mine are tighter than bark on a tree.
awesome videos . keeping on do it
So Nice
Hey, I am wanting to ask, is it possible to take the ram slot out?
Remove a RAM slot entirely? No, that can't be done.
how do I change the graphic card to a g Force card
You cannot. The graphics on thins laptop is built onto the motherboard and cannot be changed.
Model number is not enough for exact match between motherboard and the rest? What I need to do to make sure motherboard I am to order will work well?
You can get the part number off of the motherboard. It should be located on or around the memory slots.
My part number is rare one that even Dell suggests same motherboard but with different part number.
can i just change the g card
The E6420 has the GPU built onto the motherboard and cannot be replaced.
good video thanks can you do a video on how to replace the graphics card please
+boss george Unfortunately the graphics is built onto the motherboard and cannot be removed. You would have to replace the entire motherboard.
ok thanks

And this sounds as a retarded question to ask, but could you install a small sized GPU into the external PCI slot?
