The 1600 in 78 should've been 2wd. The 4wd in that model was a 1700. My grandpa bought one new in 78. It was 1600 2wd. If I it had a nickel for every hour I spent taking hay on that old tractor. I'd give anything to have one just like it. They sounded like they had a big cam in them or something when they were at low rev. That's a gem for sure. They may be 9 speed but they're slow as a snale.

Most Oil Bath Reservoirs have an imprint in the cannister to the level for oil.
