Awesome. I"m curious how much profit there is in an order like that? I know you probably don't want to say, but I'm just interested in seeing what the profit is for the time involved. Thanks for sharing.
Overall in 2024, our screen printing has yielded 60% margin (I think that maths out to a 110% profit). A project like this though only yielded 33% margin due to the volume. That is actually a little more aggressive than I am comfortable with so I have reworked our volume discounts quite a bit for future projects.
You know, I do like it pretty good. My screen print supplier switched to M&R the day after I bought this thing which is a little annoying. I would have probably given M&R a closer look, but so far so good with the Sabre.
I’m wondering what your spoilage numbers are. I’ve only printed on flat rigid and semi-rigid substrates. Generally speaking if we messed up a print we could wipe of the ink or the substrate was inexpensive and we could just grab more.
Most shirt orders we order one extra in each size. I think for this one we ordered like 4 extra in each size. There are a million ways to screw up a shirt. That would make an interesting and long video!
