Lol @ "Seeing a pattern of Street dude TH-camrs that can't spell" is equivalent to a white racist saying "blacks have bad grammar, or are illiterate." New research finds that when people are subjected to poor grammar, it actually causes them stress - and even initiates a “fight or flight” response.

In truth, it isn’t bad. But what happens is people make assumptions, and, often out of necessity, are required to make judgment calls based on how people present. And how we speak and write are vulnerabilities for many of us, me included.
Poor grammar gets interpreted in several ways. For example, it could lead one to believe that a person is lazy or lacks attention to detail. Not a good look when presenting to prospective employers. It could also be and often is used as an assessment tool for measuring intelligence, much like vocabulary choices.
Inadequate attention to grammar can also reflect poorly on academic standing or be taken to reflect a lack thereof. Lamentably, we live in a prejudicial world where grammar serves as yet another means of marginalizing others, all too frequently when it shouldn’t matter.
My advice to anyone who has doubts regarding their grammatical proficiency would be to read quality literature for increased exposure to decent grammar, but keep in mind that rules of grammar, just like language itself, evolve over time. So don’t panic. There are plenty of good sites that offer grammatical assistance online. Many are monitored by teachers. I encourage their use.

@@mobbstarzent.2797 PS: English is not our original language anyway, I could care less how it sounds to others. It is too bad that many people are so colonized, they believe that only the colonizer’s language has value and is the measure for perfection or intelligence. We all have ancestry, DNA, social norms within our culture that made us who we are. The colonizer’s language, phonetics, is NOT the only one of value. 💯
