Maxwell its mostly algoritms doing the trading now. Some of them moved into the upper offices, some of them still on the floor. But paper trading is dead. The machines took over.

Well stock brokers technically still exist... but the business has changed a lot... financial advisors are the new stock brokers and they are more focused on overall financial planning and broad based portfolios... not single stock ideas.

Now basically all you can sell are index funds (or will be in a couple of years I think) and that you can buy online. Bye bye to human contact right? fuck hahaha

I used to be on a investors list of people who had at least 1 million to invest. I was on the list because I lied about having 1 million dollars to invest. Broker would call me daily and not one of the stocks that they recommended would have made me money. This is back in the 2007 - 2009 period. Lucky for me I got a new phone with a new number and never heard from them crooked idiots again.
This is complete fiction. Some of these people are scammers and actors.
