    Honor The C.S. Lewis Legacy-
    / @cs_lewis_legacy
Lewis shifts to discuss the use of a "private prayer language" and the role of prepared prayers versus spontaneous ones. He defends the value of using set forms of prayer, such as those found in the Book of Common Prayer, arguing that these can provide a framework that helps to express prayers when one's own words fail or when emotional turmoil might make spontaneous prayer difficult. He also discusses the idea that set prayers, like those written by others, can enrich one’s prayer life by introducing new theological insights or expressing devotion in ways one might not have personally considered. Lewis emphasizes that the act of praying can itself be a form of prayer, highlighting the idea that the effort made in prayer is a significant part of its value.

God wants intimacy with us like a wise parent to His child. He cares about the things that concern us and wants us to come to Him to ask. That He already knows is not the point. The point is in developing a trusting relationship with our Heavenly Father. Prayer is one means to become more aware that He listens and welcomes us into His presence. As we mature, our prayer life changes, and our relationship deepens, our trust strengthens, and our dependence upon Him grows. What a wise Father to nature us and draw us closer to Him in the process. This message from C S Lewis on why pray is beautiful.

Just a couple of tried and usefull tips:
    a) I am out if ideas, dear Lord, so could you inspire my prayers with what pleases and is important to you?
    b) Dear Lord, I am so forgetful of all good You have bestowed upon me, would you please inspire me with the remembrance of those so that I may offer You something like a true praise and Thanksgiving? It certainly would brighten my day.
    c) Good Lord, bestow me the wisdom to discern that wich drives me away from you, and the strenght to totally rely on you before all temptation and disordered loves. I know it is miracle, but I am in dire need of it.
    d) Give me a wakefull hearth of prayer, so that I may pray all the time, and have this unimaginable grace of walking in Your lovelly presence all the time, even in my sleep.
So folks, hope they proof helpful. None of us is supposed to carry the world on our shoulders: the cross should suffice. Accept it and embrace it with all your love.

God so desires a relationship with us. Yes, he knows everything we need or want. Prayer is a close relationship with our Heavenly Father!!! It brings us closer to Him. Very excellent commentary!!! I have faced many situations when i have not had the words because the hurt or situation was so deep----then The Holy Spirit takes it to Him!!! How thankful I am!!!!

I can truly appreciate that final 'food for thought':
Those that have not gone to God with those small, seemingly, insignificant prayers 🙏🏾 haven't exercised that ability and humility needed to go before Him with those earth shattering ones.
Oftentimes we want to prove that we are so mature in our Walk with the Lord, that we take off the training~wheels just a little too early. In fact, so early that the first strong wind will overwhelm our Spiritual balance❣️

The Bible states that God is close to the brokenhearted. No matter what comes, He will not forsake you. May the Holy Spirit come and give you peace and rest for your soul. Psalm 139 is one of my favorites and Ps 34, of David, reminds us that God hears us and answers.

When the words don’t come I’m aware of them , hidden as they are , pushed down by mulch in the garden of my heart. We can’t hear seeds germinate or flowers grow. They change and grow in silence. And God presence exists within them .

Matthew 6:8 - "Don’t be like them, for your Father knows exactly what you need even before you ask him!"
Isaiah 65:24 - 'I will answer them before they even call to me. While they are still talking about their needs, I will go ahead and answer their prayers! '
The Lord already knows what you need before you even ask, and like a good Father does, he'll take care of you. Spend equal time or more time listening to him than you do going through your own list. :) Pray this encourages you

This hsppened to me (I"ve told it many times) .
Years ago, I was alone in my appartment praying and car alarms began to sound In that time that was really habitual and disliked them much. I felt that if I was praying I ought to thank for the alarms: I began thanking and in the moment I felt I was thakiing really no more alarms; till nowI mean they were really frequent and bothersome, now very rarely some alarm sounds a little.
It reminds of mass... for thanking You in every place and time is our duty and salvation.
but so many things -personal and not personal are more difficult to thank !

1 Corinthians 14:14 For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful.
1 Corinthians 14:15 What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.
Romans 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

What does praying do exactly? Clearly god doesn’t do as you ask. Are we asking god to change his mind? The whole idea of praying is strange if think about it. If you can identify your problem and figure out how to correct it why give god the credit? If you prayer goes unanswered is that still his fault or ours?

I am still learning myself, but prayer should always be about the Father’s will. The Lord’s prayer is a good reference, “Your Will be done, in Earth as in Heaven”. People don’t get things because they don’t align with the Heavenly Father’s will. There is more to this, but I think it’s a good start for you, if you truly want to understand (and let it be also know, understanding certain things can take years, specially when it comes to matters of the spirit world and the patterns of reality).

@@guanabacoaguajiraguanabaco3280 I’ve learned all I need to know actually. The voice people hear in their heads is what they call god. That voice is you. There are no gods only you and the voice in your head. People have learned that prayer can make you feel better and make you think that you’ve actually accomplished something. The act of prayer in reality does nothing. 2 working hands are worth a million clasped in prayer.

The purpose of prayer is to align ourselves with God, not to ask or make him do whatever we want.
It is to seek his will and to establish two-way communication with the Father, where in reality we’d want to listen more than just talking. Hope this helps ✝️
