Thanks 👍 These last two cold fronts sure feel like October or November cold fronts. Not so much being cold, but the winds. I think we will have an early fall this year.
Thanks Chauncey! This last cold front was a doozy. It really slowed things down. I caught them on a different bait this morning, which will be Sundays episode.
@@FCPFishing Kool, looking forward to seeing it, yeah the weather is changing and cooler temperatures are coming, the topwater bite should be getting better as they begin to feed up for the upcoming winter, THANKS again Dana, for all you do 🎣
@@chaunceydavis5290 Interestingly, the topwater bite has been pretty slow the last few trips. I think it should get better, but it has been a strange year so far. I'm starting to see lots of bait on the bottom, which is unusual this early. I think we will have an early fall/winter.
Thanks for sharing the details, always helps. Glad you were able to get out. How do you tell when a fish has the roach and you should set the hook? It’s such a new style of fishing for me. Thanks for the video!
There is usually a "tick" or "thump" and then it just feels like something alive on the end of your line. I set the hook if I feel anything different, often times your line will start moving. I watch my line too, often you will see the bite - your line will twitch.
Thank you for the content and the information love your channel. I’ll be fishing Lanier more coming up soon more so on the southern part of the lake. Don’t know exactly what part you’re fishing but any advice for the southern part of the lake around the Dam area? Thank you I look forward to your videos and will check out Swamp pros. Do you get anything from advertising them?
Thanks for watching! I stay up on the north part of the lake mostly, but I fished the south end a lot when I started fishing Lanier. I would recommend looking for deep brush and fishing above it with spy baits and topwaters, especially if you have a little wind. Creeks are still an important part of finding fish down there, so I would concentrate on creeks. The Bald Ridge Creek area is very popular down there, and there is a reason for it. There are a lot of fish caught there. A Fluke is a good option too, as well as a spinnerbait if there is some wind. The wind is your friend.
Excellent video Dana . Thanks for sharing ! Tight lines !
Thanks for watching! It's looking like we will have an early fall.
Nice job on a difficult day! It’s been extremely windy on lanier lately. Like you, I’m also looking forward to Fall. Thanks again!
Thanks! It was even more windy this morning, but I caught them on a different lure. It will be Sundays video.
Tuff day but you still managed to catch bass. Good job.

Today was largemouths!Got nice ones!
They seem to be more easy to locate when things are tough.
Enjoy you showing the lures you use and how you rig also where and when to use. Always enjoy watching you.
Thanks 👍
The roach helped you catch some fish!
It has become one of my go to lures!
Hey Dana, enjoyed your vid, and some good catches 🎣

@@FCPFishing Man, wouldn’t that be something, it’s probably time for the jig & fluke combo to start its assault 🎣
@@chaunceydavis5290 I always have one rigged and ready on the boat. It will be putting in the work soon.

Went out on a limb and ordered a few swamp pro lures. I'm blaming you if they don't work! :)
I've shown that they work...do me a favor and tell them I sent you.

@@FCPFishing thank you so much for those tips I will definitely use that to guide to catching some good ones! Have a great weekend and happy fishing!!
@@Who_Dat_Fishing Good luck! Don't forget that topwater!

@@FCPFishing sweet will do thank you. Looking to get the roach to add to the arsenal
Dana, what reel and line you using on your topwater? Thanks!
I use an old Abu Garcia Revo SX reel and 14 lb Gamma Fluorocarbon.
When do you think the stripers will be running again
One of my viewers said he caught some in my area a week ago, but it's usually October before they start showing up in numbers.
