I swear Uldum was borderline perfect. There were some "meh" cards and the Quests were clearly still in their experimental phases for what we would see later with Questlines. But overall its an expansion I have nothing but positive memories with.
I felt called out when you talked about people putting the shaman quest in their Shudderwock decks. You get the reward way too late for it to matter while you're still fighting for the board, and in the late game it doesn't make sense to press it when you can just chain Shudderwocks. I've also tried it with a C'thun deck, but that was pre Caverns of time, so it had no shot in Wild. Maybe I should retry it now that I think about it. Anyways, my favourite card is and most probably will always be Whizbang the Wonderful.
I always run the quest in my shudderwock shaman to make my shudderwock work 100% of the time, I’ve had too many low rolls where my grumbles and zolas (and even my baleful bankers) just go off before any chain gangs or twin fins. Even now with shudderblock, I like the flexibility to use that card when it can pop off and still guarantee my inevitability with shudderwock
In standard it was a solid card. It wasnt a win condition but it really helped push damage by getting rid of threats. Easiest legendary i ever got was with it.
I actually loved playing with Raid the Sky Temple in Wild, I could play an aggressive version of no minion mage, with some late game for survivability and with the quest, I could get a refill or powerful spell if I ran out.
I hope Blizzard makes more "Choose one" cards to help Untapped Potential, I feel like it's an archetype that's kind of been left out lately and I used to like it. Also, of course, cards that use unspent mana would be great to support the deck, but you said it already so I won't repeat your argument 😅
There was 100% a period of time where Supreme Archaeology was a competitive card. It was during scholomance acadmey after lorekeeper polkelp had came out and it was used to get a 0 mana malygos or alextraza to do an otk involving cheap burn spells such as rain of fire, soulfire and nether breath. It was by no means the strongest deck in the format but it was quite frankly warlocks only viable deck at the time as it had been gutted by nerfs. Id still say i mostly agree with what you had to say about the card though
Yeah these quests were actually poorly designed since galakrond was released immediately after, making a bunch of cards in both expansions unplayable for four classes. Not to mention that in wild every class has a hero card they want to play for the mid to late game.
I remember playing, and loving, reborn paladin. Making mummies was super fun when you could keep copying magurgle prime. It definitely wasn’t good but that isn’t the point
I blazed to legendary with Bazaar Burglary in standard when it was out. It was the easiest i've ever done it. It was a very fun Tier 2 deck. I could see it being bad in Wild but in no way was it as bad as you are making it out to be.
I was about to comment about shotbot, shotbot is by far the funniest reborn card, it just confuses me that they thought it would make making mummies better.
Just add some big menagerie-style neutral minion with deathrattle and reborn two time and paladin quest would be good. As it comes to warrior quest... make hero power 1 mana and increase from 5 to 6 attacks to get a reward
Honestly, these are how I think quests should be handled: a permanent but not very substantial power boost after playing in a sub-optimal way. Therefore I will have to say that my favourite card is Untapped Potential
bro back in uldum i saw so many people running the warlock quest mainly in mechathun but also there was the archetype plot twist warlock which means it could finish way earlier

My favorite card is the Lightforged Cariel. Sunken City was the expansion that finally got me to play standard and control pally was a blast to play
The hero-power quests are the most balanced ones IMO
Just a side note, Kazakus Golemshaper is my all time favorite card
Balanced doesn't make them fun or useful however.
@@danedavid6925 At least they weren’t demon seed on day 1
@@danedavid6925WDYM? Mask is fun, osirian tear is fun and supreme archeology too.
@monstermasterv2 blizzard was taking drugs when they printed that card and we had to live with those consequences
Enjoying the wild content, keep it up! My favourite card is lord jaraxxus, it's so iconic

Corrupt the waters my beloved
Favorite hearthstone card is Finley Sea Guide, great card with good flavor AND it’s part of the Hearthstone expansion storyline, so it’s cool.
My fave card is Baku the Mooneater
I like the warlock quest, but it’s nearly useless in wild tbh
My favorite card is og yogg because random
Alextrasa is my favourite
Love me a new Kazakusan
I think bashing that much on Ancient Blades is unfair given that it's gotten pretty level with how easy it is to achieve the condition nowadays
the problem with ancient blades is the reward, not the condition. there is literally no reason to use bazaar burglary over obsidian shard
obsidian shard is 1 mana 3/3 ancient blades is 4 mana 3/2
@@FlareIsGone ancient blades helps deal with one of rogue weakenesses', self healing
yeah weaknesses don't matter when you just kill your opponent and ancient blades is not good at either of those things
In standard it was a solid card. It wasnt a win condition but it really helped push damage by getting rid of threats. Easiest legendary i ever got was with it.
return the slab
or suffer my curse
🎶"THE MAN IN GAUZE THE IN GUAZE KING RAMESES!!" 🎶
"What's your offer?!"
What's this a reference to?
Unseal the Vault was playble deck at some point, but I really can't remember it being more than tier 3 deck in standart. Same with Obelisk lol
I actually loved playing with Raid the Sky Temple in Wild, I could play an aggressive version of no minion mage, with some late game for survivability and with the quest, I could get a refill or powerful spell if I ran out.
Hey i got a video idea for you: class legendaries that could have interesting uses as neutral legendaries.
My favorite hearthstone card remains Shadow Reaper Anduin. Also I wish these quests were better.
I remember Untapped Potential seeing a resurgence in play with the release of Drum Circle from festival
that shouldve beent he powerlevel of stormwind quests
I hope Blizzard makes more "Choose one" cards to help Untapped Potential, I feel like it's an archetype that's kind of been left out lately and I used to like it. yeah there are just 0 good choose one cards to combine

My favorite hearthstone card is Swift messanger, that random pack filler from witchwood. i just rlly like the VA for it
I play supreme archeology in my renolock, it isnt good, but its fun
My favorite card is OG Kel’thuzad
I seem to remember making mummies being playable as a counter to control warrior at some point? But other than that it was horrible
My favorite card is Shadow Jeweler Hanar. Secret decks are my favorite to play
The paladin quest was surprisingly amazing against warrior at the time
I love Maw and Paw so much, Rainbow is my favorite deck by far
Bolner and otk shaman easily my favorite card/deck combo
Just add some big menagerie-style neutral minion with deathrattle and reborn two time and paladin quest would be good. As it comes to warrior quest... make hero power 1 mana and increase from 5 to 6 attacks to get a reward
it says play not summon so and why would you nerf the warrior quest? attacking 5 times is already hard
My Favorite card is still obsidian statue
If I recall raid the sky temple was at least ran in some standard mage decks but it wasn’t that good just ran to upgrade your hero power
It’s not actually an upgrade is the sad thing. Default HP is better in most situations
My favorite is Making Mummies cuz of the unending potential of summoning copies of minions.
Can't wait for a Rarran collab ❤
