All German Nouns have gender and an article. Articles in German language are definite and indefinite. Gender of noun in German can be masculine (Maskulin), feminine (Feminin) or neuter (Neutral). As a part of German language course for beginners this video also addresses the question how to determine or identify the article and gender of noun in German language. There are several tips through which we can identify or determine the article and gender of noun in German and eventually we can use article of noun in German language.
There are 3 types of articles in German language.
der: It is used for masculine nouns
die: It is used for feminine nouns
das: It is used for neutral nouns
If the noun is plural, then the article of noun in German language is die.
If you have just started to learn German language, it is recommended to memorize German nouns with articles.
There are 2 types of articles in German language.
1. Definite articles in German language (der for masculine, die for feminine and das for neutral and die for plural noun)
2. Indefinite articles in German language (ein for masculine, eine for feminine and ein for neutral)
The articles in German language may will change in accusative and dative case.
Nouns in German language will remain same, however the articles in German language will change in accusative and dative case. It is recommended to memorize nouns in German with articles.
