I've had the gut feeling over the last couple of years that TTY does not have the drive to win any more. Skill and fitness will only take you so far, but determination will get you over the line. I don't see that determination and haven't in some time.

Often Chen is already moving to the shuttle before TTY has made the mistake. Concentration and patience needed. TTY can always easily get the advantage when she moves faster, but the conversion rate is too low. Possibly also too many cross smashes from TTY's forehand, instead of straight.

I really dislike Chen Yufei game. It reminds me of the pre Carolina Marin era where women single was just a bunch of paceless rallies made out of clears and slow exchanges. Just like Xuerui it's efficient, but not entertaining to watch imo
