some characters are kind of hella broken. the furry one has next to no drawbacks from commiting to a move since there all these wide fast slashes and their move set feels like it was built entrly on the premise of not giving the opponent any chance of a comeback even with Burst.

I've easily stomped Miko as a vanilla character and been stomped as Miko by a vanilla character. I personally don't feel bad about playing with Miko because the opponent needs to agree to the mod in the first place and she's not invincible.
You just gotta play well against her and read her priority moves. Use your burst in unconventional ways and DI intelligently.
That or uninstall the mod. That's also a totally fair option.
