If I understand correctly, you won't find him there. He won't be there or the room may not even exist if the game never let you in. He only appear right behind you when you going through those bookshelf.
Yes i tried it and the walker will stay there and he wont move and you can go through him. also i tried to go in room when you enter the asylum and you go on the corridor and the door ahead of you closes. when you go to the room where you will go to the shaft and there you will glitch the door ( you can go through them ) and as you are in the shaft and you see in the cranny the man then you go back and go through the glitched door you will see staying there the man who was in the room and you also can go to the room where the door were closed, they will be opened
I think there are references/easter eggs outside the playable area like the painting in wernicke's office showing the german urban legend the nightmare, which is the inspiration for the walrider.
