no. Thats not a superpower. Its called "Luck" and "Imagination"
King is respected for every wrong reason imaginable. A seasoned assassin really attempted to pull out a knife and was stopped instantly. Either King Engine actually has a paralysis effect or King actually just speedblitzed an assassin's draw.
Despite seaming weak compared to a base human king is actually pretty strong, he has insane reaction and perception time on par with some S-Class heroes, he is surprisingly fast, and the fact his heart can beat so loud without killing him means something isn't natural about him.

his reaction time must be god tier if he can beat saitama at videogames we havent seen saitama play against anybody I belive but king beat garou with a controller in a full immersion VR game.
@@sebagomez4647 Not exactly. He fought and beat Suriyu (That's not how you spell his name). That guy fought Garou in the game. While he won it was because Garou got disconnected because he was too fast. Of course Garou was able to comfortably spar before trying to speed up.

He thinks that King is so powerful that he swung the sword so fast, even the apple didn't notice it was being cut. Truly the best S-class Hero we have.

@@mimimimo455 personally, author didn't outright confirm something and leave it as it is have worked so many times to keep the immersion.
Oda also do the same when fan ask about the power scaling or limit of someone's power. He always answer with the most joking answer that didn't answer anything at all. Such as how far Luffy can stretch, he answered "it's x gomu gomu".
@@superstarwarrior2933 Not necessarily. KING personally always struck me as someone suffering from heavy impostor syndrome. Sure, we never saw him win against a monster, but he never *lost* either. And to me the fact that his reaction speed allows him to keep up with most of the fights, including ones with Saitama, something even Sonic couldn't do when Saitama bit his sword (as well as figure out what to say in a pinch) is a little nudge to it. At the very least, he is incredibly clever. And he might just be "The Strongest Man in The World", too, he was just never brave enough to discover it himself.
Each character in One Punch Man is so well written they could have their own manga. I can imagine a manga about a main character who doesn't have to fight and just uses his intimidating looks to defeat enemies and make them mental gymnastics it.

He'll roll snake eyes, but his opponents psych themselves out by thinking he was doing it on purpose to taunt them and bait them, and promptly fold despite King having the worst cards.
Nah in DND terms hes just adding at least +20 to all his Bluff and Intiimdate roles
Except he rarely bluffs. I would argue that this is like the players thinking that it has some elaborate plan interconnecting the whole story together but they were overhanging it and the DM was just going along as it unfolded

The main reason Jotaro beat D'Arby was because he was able to both keep his cool whilst bluffing with the souls of himself and all of his friends (That Jotaro knew he would lose if his bluff got called), and because he was able to intimidate D'Arby without actively threatening his life (By lighting a cigarette and getting himself a drink using Star Platinum, to make D'Arby suspect Jotaro cheated too fast for him to see, but he couldn't accuse him without evidence)
Honestly most fictional characters in total would not be able to keep a solid cool, it's not a matter of smarts or strength, it's a matter of temperament and getting into D'Arby's head, when D'Arby knew for a fact that he couldn't lose.
Yeah I feel like D'arby would mentally fold on the first round. Just have his entire mental breakdown immediately without King doing much at all.

Me giggle about King’s intimidation of everyone else is that it only WORKS because his world is so bonkers. When everyone around you is constantly inner anime monologuing and doing that whole “outsmarting your outsmarting with techs that take thirty minutes to explain”, of course they’d psyche themselves out on the guy that gives them practically no info to work with lmfao

Think of it this way, how badass must it look for someone with the build and character design as King, to be able to perform beautiful and aesthetically pleasing feats. In no way, king should be able to do that in real time, that ruins the joke, yeah. Buuut, the animation of the idea of king fighting, like physically fighting, as percieved by the people, would be so nice to see. For example - how child emperor described SSK mode, and we got one panel of King powering up. Something like that yeah.)

King is, in fact, a superhero. His superpower is just unconventional: something similar to the improbability engine from douglas adams. He's a very powerful superhero with the worst case of imposter syndrome in the world.

Iam convinced that King is actually super strong, stronger than anyone and has infinite knowledge, he lies inside his own thoughts so the viewers think he is a fraud and that he would be weak, but the truth is that he broke the 4th wall by convincing the author AND the spectators that he is weak, hes manipulating us in a whole new way never seen before, he truly is the strongest man alive.

But I think it's the fear of the unknown, because everyone is afraid of what's behind a closed door. It's the same with him, you don't know what's going to happen, and you have to take that step to find out.

Why do we fear the darkness? Because we can't see in it, everything that's there is out of our control. Of course that's not the case for a blind person, but the fear doesn't come from the lack of light, it comes from the lack of control... what do King's opponents know about him? That he never lost, no matter the situation.

I just had a theory pop into my head because of this… what if saitama is kings power… kings power is that he will get caught up in dangerous situations and someone will save him without fail, when this happens king will always receive all the credit. Thus saitama was created in order to protect king from literally everything possible.
