Great Job Wildcats! Showmanship, Discipline, Uniformity and Balance is a formula that others will like to emulate. We cannot please everyone. The alumni is always proud of you guys. Keep up the Great Work..
As a wildcat Alum I use to think that the halftime shows were good but lacked excitement, however after watching this video and seeing the band in person I must say that this year the sound is exceptional. Don’t change Cookman, your band stands apart. The show was very clean and crisp and could easily be presented on any occasion in most settings. You are very unique Cookman. Keep up the good work wildcats!!!!!
This is Cookman and all of you should know from experience that they have their niche and they stick by it. No Gimmicks, No house-raisers. No Theatrics. They gave a FULL show. An intro, 3 drills, dancegirl, concert, dance routine and outro drill - 14 songs in 13 1/2 minutes and they still had the "best executed, sounding and visually appealing show" (wildcatjay). Who else can match their consistancy, sound and uniformity the way they can?? This is cookman: a class act and you will deal..
I don't quite understand the whole "predictable" comment. Mr. Wells has built a successful halftime format that works for us. We aren't the only band with "predictable" shows.
I regret not being able to do marching band in high school...just symphonic... and graduating college right when they established the marching band...*sigh* I wish the NFL had marching bands...I'd do it in a heartbeat.
The marching at 10:05 is freaking inspirational. I'm starting to understand BCU. They are not a band that takes risk or goes for the over the top move in every show. They have had some awesome formations but they aren't going for the big killer move everytime. They only wish to meet the staples of their program on most outings. This gives them predictability but also unquestionable consistency. Not a huge fan of that approach but I get it, it works, and I can definitely respect it.
You know. I am so use to hearing baritones played accessively high in the upper register. It is nice to hear them played in their more natural pitch range.
I am from VA, never attended Cookman...EVER!!!! ...but anybody and I mean ANYBODY who speaks one negative word against BCU is JUST A HATER! The precision, discipline, musicality, uniformity, energy, spirit, drum majors, intonation, balance, and general effect is FAR ABOVE ANY OTHER HBCU BAND. Black people can never give credit where credit is due. Smh...
Paul we have a director who arranges music and sum students who present music they write. If its good and the directors like it then it gets played. Now that no drummajor hat trick was awesome
unfortunately the crowd was pretty dead by the time cookman went on. I was just happy 2 c them in person, even though I was supposed to have been facing them in the crowd.
why do you consistently watch them if you do not like them? You were here last year weren't you? Saying the same thing weren't you? And you found your way here again! I don't get it.
BCU wins in music and intonation hands down. Not to mention the flag line was good for special effects. Some of the other bands need flags, a good large flag line always helps with visuals.
thank you wtf is bryan jones talking about hell i remember back in 03' B-CC got so dam big they was calling them the marching 300, because they got bigger than Famu
I really wish that during the Slow number/ballad the cameraman focus on the Flag corp. that's their time to really shine and they camera ALWAYS misses it.
So just comment on the band, skip over 14K and keep moving. 14K is going to be 14K every time they take off those capes. That should be your cue to skip the video about 1:03 secs. But its no need for you to continuously show such distaste for them EVERY chance you get. If you like the band say you like the band. But liking the band is not being a queen every video and put up your "messy" responses.
Cookman has never done a new show for honda..everything is always recycled with a few elements here and there. This is how it's always been and it's...expected. This is simply a showcase. Nothing more nothing less. This band has absolutely nothing to prove..unlike others.
Man do they do anything new. I love Bethune cookman most beautiful sound u will ever here but why cant u think outside the box just a little outside the box change like take out the lets go u can form the bcu but play a different song
Man, BCU is an extremely clean band. I really like them but they are just so boring. When I watch BCU I think about what Coltrane said about the difference between a white sax player and a black sax player. BCU is very, very clean but lacks sole or that 'it' factor.

Excellent Sound, Stellar Marching and Overall Appearance= Predictable to me. Professionalism at it's best.

Bethune Bethune Bethune
Great footage and amazing audio!
Sorry I left off marching... There is not one other HBCU BAND that consistently marches like BCU with SO much uniformity and leg lifts! Just awesome!
Excellent work as always Cookman best band there
That Same Damn Time is so sweet... Can't get enough of it.
I don't quite understand the whole "predictable" comment. Mr. Wells has built a successful halftime format that works for us. We aren't the only band with "predictable" shows.
Same for everyone else too...you're just used to seeing BCU..but It's a Showcase nobody wins..
BCU did great buhh NC A&T were OUTSTANDING!!they did thier damn thing!!!!!
We've been marching 224 on the field since 2003.
I regret not being able to do marching band in high school...just symphonic... and graduating college right when they established the marching band...*sigh* I wish the NFL had marching bands...I'd do it in a heartbeat.

That show was bad azz; so miss Horatio (The Voice).
best show.
There is No Question We Are The Best Band in The World... #NUFFSAID
There not predictable. Just stop running to TH-cam everyday to watch their clips and you wouldn't feel that way

wish i was there this year
It was an OK SHOW but the sound was ON POINT.
why do you consistently watch them if you do not like them? You were here last year weren't you? Saying the same thing weren't you? And you found your way here again! I don't get it.

I really wish that during the Slow number/ballad the cameraman focus on the Flag corp. that's their time to really shine and they camera ALWAYS misses it.
i agreee.... almost everything they do its in every one of their halftime shows and thats why they never win. btw who did win ?
I wonder when HBCUs will change up their predictable format and be innovators.
@trueskool1977 louis graduated in december...

Intro was way too hype
What's last song before let's go wildcats

Dnt say black ppl dont give credit when its due, not true, everyone can hate.. I know my coaches def will & good ppl will who are black..
The satin dolls is a mess
Thats whats predictable about them just about every song played were from the football season. nothing specifically for honda.
BCU did good but they are kinda predictable.

Like the tribute to Sandy Hook!
Big Disapointment.
I don't like by cheif keif
SAME SHOW. DIFFERENT DAY. BORING. SOUND GOOD THOUGH
still a mess
That was a great show, I think they are only that large because of FAMU's inactivity.
O_o this was kinda boring...
You must not know anything about dance
