Nothing is original anymore, Hip Hop was once voice of the streets, Storytellers being a powerful voice against negativity. While R&B were love stories how someone loving someone unconditionally, rising from the pain to growth. My opinion, R&B is still surviving but Industry isn't supporting it as it once did. Artists have to get their work out themselves! When the rappers became singers, R^B became devalued. In order for R&B to be as prominent as it once was, you need new labels who are committed to pushing QUALITY R&B music like these record execs push violent rap songs.

That would remove the rap section or edit it down from the artists original vision. THIS WAS A CRIME. As a new version of urban storytelling was developing it was suppressed by the record companies and radio stations. SHAME. Today if you stream TLC you are likely to get the radio edit first this is a shame because Lisa "left eye" Lopes was a pioneer and an innovator and her work is rarely heard.
