I don't agree. In the 1st place we don't know for sure about why that happened. The salary dispute rumor is just gossip. Another explanation asserts George Trendle's suspicion that Moore wanted a percentage of merchandising revenue, but Moore's adopted daughter debunked that idea. As I see it, there's a 3rd possibility: Prior to hiring Hart as the lead man, Jay Silverheels and Clayton Moore staged a protest or strike, because Trendle was too cheap to provide dressing rooms for the actors. The very next day, dressing rooms were magically provided to everyone; in my opinion, George Trendle fired Clayton Moore as a way of getting back at Moore & Silverheels. Trendle wanted the entire cast to buckle under and accept his unbendable authority.
One more thing John hart I’m sure might have been good in other shows but he couldn’t fill Clayton moores shoes and If you heard he called his self the Lone Ranger witch is something Clayton Moore wasn’t aloud to do
I was thinking the same at first, but John Hart is a good fit for the one season he filled in for Clayton...the third season to be precise. And Clayton came back for two more seasons. And it was not John's fault , Clayton was let go,it was the producers...
