8:56 Can confirm. I was a Millennial in business school with Gen Z kids. When they found out I remembered 9/11, they listened like kids around a campfire and asked a ton of questions, because they were either babies or not born. I felt like a grandma talking about the moon landing or something. 😂

I remember there was an episode right after Dave said what happened between them where he called Nick Dave. I was like ope. That wasn’t meant to happen
If you watch the blinking of the eyes of Ashton and Mila, they spell out L-R-H B-A-D L-R-H B-A-D in Morse Code alternately, very clever. So I believe that they were being held captive.
Love when Sara comes on. She is so serious on her show nice to see her laugh and have a good time. Also, glad you found a topic she knows nothing about All in the Family.
In Dave's defense, hes not the only one who didn't know right away what was going on. I saw the live news footage right when it was happening as I was leaving the house for school. Me and my friends were all joking about drunk pilots and such at breakfast until we got to class and found out it was terrorists. Turns out I was just plane wrong.
Highly suggest listening to one of Mike Rowe's podcasts with ex-scientologists! What they went through while a part of it is insane, as well as what they went through to get out!
I've always really liked Mike Rowe and I'm already subscribed to his channel I just never caught hoses episodes. I'm definitely going to check them out. Thanks for the tip!

I went and saw Cosby perform around 15 years ago. Even then,he wasn't anywhere near "top form". The show was occasionally amusing ramblings with some recognizable bits scattered throughout.
Imagine how much of a guilt by association culture there must be to make them apologize for a letter that was just speaking of their experiences with danny in any positive light. Even people who commit horrible crimes are not terrible 100% of the time...they aren't allowed to say that for the few hours a day they were around each other that he was a decent person and having not seen the evidence you don't believe the charge? Apologize you weren't clairvoyant enough...that does sound very scientology.

Letters to the judge? That's what the Husky coaching staff did to get Jerramy Stevens's felony assault charges reduced to a misdemeanor to recruit him to the team. Then he ended up putting a Freshman in the hospital with injuries to her backside with an eye witness who called 911 before the girl even woke up. Despite an eye witness who said the girl was unresponsive and the girl having a rape kit and stitches done within 24 hours, the King County DA Norm Maleng who was already controversial for taking it easy on players said there was insufficient evidence of a crime, just like he had the year before when multiple players ended up with misdemeanors for a home invasion and assault in a fraternity. Jerramy Stevens ended up paying an undisclosed amount of money from his NFL contract for the damage done to the girl and he's now married to Hope Solo the famous soccer player. There's far more evidence of what Jerramy Stevens did than Danny Masterson. Why can't he be charged too?
I may be wrong in my thinking, but I’d Ashton and Mila wrote about their friend, the person they knew and loved, there’s nothing wrong with that. It doesn’t take away the fact of what happened. It’s a character statement. To speak on the character of the person being sentenced. If there’s another way to look at it, I’m all for discussing it.
The recanting of the character statements which they say that their friend's family requested is what's suspicious, not their initial actions. Trying to help out a friend is just what you'd expect from people in Hollywood, as show business is the sort of business where a favor demands repayment, and not necessarily a sign of any great personal love for the man, he was a part of both Ashton and Mila's successes in acting. The recanting seemed like it was either an attempt to avoid backlash from the public when he got convicted so their reputations weren't tarnished, or possibly due to their Scientology ties, a forced statement they were told to put out so that Scientology wouldn't get it's reputation questioned. Scientology is one of the big behind the scenes powers in Hollywood. If you want to learn more about them, you might look up the episode of the Joe Rogan Experience featuring Lea Remini, who was on King of Queens and is an ex Scientologist. She discusses how her mother, I believe, was a member, and got her involved to help her career as an actress. After they started controlling her life in a really cult-like fashion and she kind of snapped out of the programming, she tried to leave, and her career has suffered ever since.
We have many recent examples of Cults that didn't become Religions. I think we are very luck to have been able to record the rise of a Scientology since Jehovah Witness was the last Western example of a New Religion but that is 150 years old now. It gives us great insight into how ridiculous Religion sounds when it's established until enough time passes and older Generations die that the new Generations can't criticize it any longer because it's now part of their Culture.
Im pretty adamant that it contributed to a mass-development of selfish and entitled behaviours among millenials. Along with poor social skills, the corruption of classic liberalism, and an inability to form stable relationships. And all because the characters became role models to so many people during important developmental years as teenagers.
Love the show! It's great to see other normal people laughing and having a good time about this ridiculous clown world we live in!

😂 Dave for Chief of "Clown Division "
The Division task, to investigate crimes against Humor and Bad Satire.

Everything I know about Scientology is from South Park.
Then its accurate
And it’s worse than they depicted.
That "hypocrisy is the lubricant of this country" line was great chefs kiss
Dave's choice of shirt in the "apology video" 😂😂😂
The funniest "All In The Family" episode was when Archie got stuck in the elevator with the black guy and hispanic couple.
