- A lot of eyeshadow palettes need to go!! Today is a huge eyeshadow declutter! When I pulled out every palette I owned, I could NOT believe how many eyeshadow Palettes I had acquired since starting my channel. I decided not to swatch as much as possible for a few reasons. 1. I would second guess my decision 2. I would change my mind, and 3. Very time consuming and your time is valuable! What has been your favorite palette this year?

I have a spreadsheet of all my palettes and I mark how often I use them. It's a good thing to have so that way when I declutter I can't be all "oh but I just used this one" if I didn't because the spreadsheet doesn't lie.
Excellent idea!! I would love to see the spreadsheet and see how you set it up and how you managed to keep on top of it. I started a sheet for my foundations but wasn't committed to it. I'm definitely going to try keeping track more closely and try some kind of spreadsheet or at least notes. 😘

I neurotically selected palettes over the years & now I enjoy them so much so Imma keep loving them until they dry out I guess lol … or I âge out of them because my eyelids will entirely disappear at some point lol!! I'm at that point myself unless one is so absolutely beautiful and perfect! There have been a few new ones that have been launched and I'm like, they are pretty, but do I really need them? Like I said in the video. I am sure I have very similar shades in my collection to get the same look or vibe. XOXOXO 😘

Girl! 😅 You got through so much, and you really did well, not getting caught up in the decision-making! You actually inspired me to finally go through and finish unpacking and arranging my palettes, so I took this video upstairs and got started. (Now you're done, and im not.😆) It's been a work in progress, and I don't think I'll quite get done tonight, but the end is in sight. (Part of the issue is figuring out how to arrange it in my little linen closet in the bathroom. I dont have nearly the collection you have, but also, it's your job, so...)

I did a major declutter - two, actually! - before we moved, so I don't think I'm going to declutter anything just yet, but I have collected so much just since we got here! It's interesting that you let go of a lot of high end - are they really any better? I scored a Pat McGrath 5-pan palette from TJMaxx for $16 and change last week. It's an older one, not on the website anymore. I like the color story, and the formula is to die for on application, but... there is only one matte in a deeper shade, and I didn't think the shadows wore any *better* than anything else that I have. I'm happy to have it for sure, but I'm glad I didn't spend $36! I've heard good things about Sydney Grace - would love to see you try them out.

So now I'm trying to decide whether to organize these palettes by color story or by size... 🤔 Did you post an "after"pic in Insta? I'll have to go look...

We have very similar taste, so when you recommend something, I investigate, lol. You're also exactly right on the high-end palettes! Are they really worth the extra $30-$50? I enjoy so many of my more affordable ones just as much or sometimes even more! My TJMAXX has been garbage since covid. It used to be my go-to for makeup finds. Not anymore! I'm lucky to see falsies there, lol. I actually just arranged them by size, trying to fit them all in one drawer. I tend not to use them when they are not in the desk drawer. I did have to put the larger palettes in the gray drawers I showed at the beginning of the video. Excellent idea on posting the after pick, ok IG! Blushes, highlighters, and powders are the next declutter. Already filmed it, and those were actually harder than the palettes to decide on 🤷♀️🤔 thank you so much for watching sweetheart ❤️ 😘

I couldn't believe how many I let go!! I just get overwhelmed with eyeshadows! I need structure and for them to make sense when I pull one out to use. When I have too many palettes, I tend to just keep grabbing for the same one because it's safe. The really big ones I find unnecessary unless they are every shade I love, which doesn't exist, lol. Plus, they are so bulky to handle and place on my work space with all the other makeup. Hope this made any sense! Love you, have a good night, big hugs 🫂 🤗 😘

Laura, you have more guts than I have!! You got rid of so much! You honestly look great in purple eyeshadow! Maybe you could reconsider. You used purple quite awhile back, and it was gorgeous.
I have changed my mind about what I liked so many times in my life. Just know you might change your mind about things, later on down the road.

I knew it!! I literally heard you, lol. The great thing is that a lot of the palettes I kept had a purple shade in it. I still LOVE purple, I just like mixing it with a neutral shade. So, I would have to pull a couple of palettes out to come up with the look I enjoy. I promise, I will do a purple look soon 💜 love you, sweetheart XOXO 😘
Beware sydney grace. I started with 1 or 2 and now they make of 90% of my collection and I have sooo many of their singles that I'm just making dupe palettes. Lol 😅

Omg yes!! Funny you say that. I was thinking the same thing when I was editing. I was like, where is my naughty palette from BH cosmetics? Well, it was hiding in its special drawer. It would have never been decluttered anyway. Another sentimental palette that I think I will always keep. It definitely will be making an appearance on the channel towards the holidays 😉 excellent eye and memory! XOXO 😘
