You have the model Y 2023 performance right? For some reason this kit on Hanshow website say " not suitable for 2023 model y" only model y 21+.

Excellent video ! I have question. Is it possible to install only the lights in the doors and the front dashboard or you must install every piece ? For example i dont want to install the center trim piece and the one on the speakers is this possible ?
yes you can leave things unplugged no issues we didnt installed the front speaker covers as they didnt fit the optics like OEM

So im at the step where i plug in cable #5 and #10… but i when try to test the lights (for the center console) the lights dont turn on.. any ideas on why not?

Look look for a square module you will connect that to the big flat white cord that is on the set of of cords that is with the number 10 cord.
Is it safe to disconnect the card reader when the car is on, cause I saw another video that said it was dangerous
worked out fine in our case no issues didnt disconnect anything 👍🏻
Why will this kit not work on a 2018 model and does hauto have a 2018 model?

If the steering wheel is on the left hand side of the car while you are sitting in it (Every car in the US), you need to pick the LHD option, if your wheel is on the right side, it would be RHD
Does the installation of these lights void tesla warranty by any chance?
Unfortunately it does. But what I recommend is keeping the original parts that you will be replacing with the new ones

You will lower the chances of breaking any clips as long as you're being careful and patient. Don't pull on things too hard especially if you feel a hard resistance.
Do you lose the cigarette adapter? Or can you run a splitter?
it is a splitter you will have both in the end no OEM Features where lost
It's an awesome light kit, but you need to pull apart SO MUCH of the interior to install it... damn...

What are all the tools that you used in this process
Plastic Trim Set T20 and T30 thats it 20€ for the plastic trim set on amzon and you most likely have a T20 and T30 laying arround it helps to have a big Flathead for prying the plastic spotwelds of
