Chris was pretty ignorant for doing that, the whole Afton family went through their own problems and issues like idk much about ur au but for me elizabeth had to deal with the fact that she knew her family would be searching for her but they would never find her, Michael had to deal with the fact that he murdered his own brother and the rest of his family died leaving him behind, William had to deal with the fact that everybody hated him and that he was murdered trying to set the souled free, and ofc mrs Afton isn’t canon but in my au she had to deal with everyone around her being killed while she was feeling guilty and helpless like she couldn’t stop any of this from happening and in my au it drove her to commit -
