- We know everyone loves Volume Profiles! That's why we made this video. We want to dive in a little deeper to show you how to set up your Volume Profile and specifically what each setting means.
Point of Control (POC) - The price level for the time period with the highest traded volume.
Profile High - The highest reached price level during the specified time period.
Profile Low - The lowest reached price level during the specified time period.
Value Area (VA) - The range of price levels in which a specified percentage of all volume was traded during the time period. Typically, this percentage is set to 70% however it is up to the trader’s discretion.
Value Area High (VAH) - The highest price level within the value area.
Value Area Low (VAL) - The lowest price level within the value area.
Developing POC - Toggles the visibility of the Developing Point of Control, showing you how POC was changing when the market was in session.
Developing VA - Toggles the visibility of the Developing Value Area, showing you how VA was changing when the market was in session.

Would you be able to provide a quick explanation of the ticks per row vs number of rows input?
This is truely very helpful. Thank you for the efforts .
Thank you so much! This video really helped me understand and setup Volume Profile on my platform!!!
beautiful explanation
Thank you and as we always say: stay tuned for more video releases and educational material.
Great Video and excellent stuff.. may I please know whether a screener/filter is available to identify the stocks that enter/exit the value zone Or stocks trading above POC?
Yes you can do something like this! And we have new screener updates coming. We need to make a video on the screener asap.
I want to play with Elliot Wave Theory against the Developing Poc. IDK if there's anything there, but it would be cool to see if it works. :)
i watched all volume related tutorials but didn't find concrete information about up/down calculation to build each bar. So help please. What happens if price pumped very strongly (e.g. by 1 million USD) and gone through 10 bars. So how this 10 bars will be calculated? Is 1 million USD will be added to every 10 passed bars or what? Is it secret information?
Fantastic video .. helps alot with examples .. cheers
Thank you!
Thank You. Very helpful video
there is no order flow tool in trading view? i can´t find order flow or sth similar
Nice video. Can you please explain what is 'Show Value' checkbox for in setting of 'Session Volume'?
Is it possible to overlap UP and DOWN volumes in order to see the leading side?
how do i hide the value of the point of control which is shown on the Y axis whilst keeping the POC line visible? sometimes the value overlaps with the value of the price line.
Wandaful❤
cool video. Is there any indicator or strategy that helps distinguish a small correction from a change of trend?
Depends. Could you give us more context? Maybe we can make a video about this
Volume Profile is a very good indicator as I've started learning about it but isn't available for basic users, can you please provide it us? It might help.
Sure thing. We can make more videos about this and we are working on an entire playlist for Volume Profiles.
@@TradingView Thanks, BTW Appreciate the hard work that you guys are doing on making tutorial videos. Keep it up👍🏻

good
This is bad... why is there not setting to apply the profile to a specific session like PIT sessions only??? Daily Profile on intraday charts are useless....
We will make a video for this exact use case! It's possible and easy to do. Please stay tuned.
