I have stopped watching Disney since the shows are actually crap. But I didn’t know this is how deep it actually is. Seems to fit this generation of pre-teens. Heart-breaking but this happens a lot in middle school.
I wish it had been Netflix that had revived this show because they would have had the guts to take Lucas and Maya to an actual place that could explore the chemistry between these two and we would've gotten the campfire scene where Lucas actually kisses Maya because I know they filmed that and Disney thought it was too mature for a kids channel which it probably was because they probably had a great scene that was appropriate for a teenage audience because the show was about a bunch of teenagers. And even with them being held back, they had the most chemistry. And on a sidenote, can I just say that Josh really was too old for Maya. There should have been no "someday" moment because it's inappropriate.

Now before you come and say oh they’re adults but my mom got married when she was 20. So imagine when she met my dad. Probably around the age of 18. Maybe 19. And god knows when they got engaged. Just think. If she got married at 20 she probably got engaged at 19. So saying the a 3 year difference is inappropriate is completely besides the point and untrue. I wish it had been Netflix that had revived this show because they would have had the guts to take Lucas and Maya to an actual place that could explore the chemistry between these two and we would've gotten the campfire scene where Lucas actually kisses Maya because I know they filmed that and Disney thought it was too mature for a kids channel which it probably was because they probably had a great scene that was appropriate for a teenage audience because the show was about a bunch of teenagers. And even with them being held back, they had the most chemistry. And on a sidenote, can I just say that Josh really was too old for Maya. There should have been no "someday" moment because it's inappropriate.

Now before you come and say oh they’re adults but my mom got married when she was 20. So imagine when she met my dad. Probably around the age of 18. Maybe 19. And god knows when they got engaged. Just think. If she got married at 20 she probably got engaged at 19. So saying the a 3 year difference is inappropriate is completely besides the point and untrue. Second of all, Lucas and Maya would’ve still been a great couple without kissing during the campfire scene. Netflix probably wouldn’t have even included a campfire scene. Sooo, yea.

If you look at the facts in season one ep one maya looks and lucas and calls lucas hot on the DL and when lucas see's maya we see that smile but when maya pushes riley over to him he looks at her for a small sec the goes over to maya and does the same thing it maya and lucas and you will see if you look at the small stuff

There is no fucking doubt lucaya should’ve been endgame they had so much undeniable chemistry and they were perfect for each other there were so many signs and looks that showed maya did like him and he liked her calling her the blonde beauty when talking about her when he was on the phone to zay and his face was so disappointed when they were at the bay window and she was covered in purple paint and said she was choosing Riley for him and the writers messed up massively with the whole maya trying to be Riley like that’s so stupid and not true at all anyway rant over, Lucas and maya were meant to be together and Riley and farkle should’ve been together end of. x recommend to anyone who sees this to watch a video along the lines of “maya and Lucas lucaya evolution” there might be two parts x it’ll warm your lucaya heart it shows all their moments together from every season

Needless to say, no one decides who people fall for, but I do believe that, if Maya had to be with somebody, it shouldn't have been Lucas because Maya deserves someone who truly loves her and not loves her but also loves someone else.
And besides, I don't think what Maya always wanted was a boyfriend. In fact, I think that it was a little easier (not that easy but ya know what I mean) for her to give up Lucas, not only because she wanted Riley to be happy (this, we all know), but also because everything she always wanted was a family.
