Rhae, interesting video about saving money. I have a few questions: In Australia, people invest money in the stock market to hopefully receive larger returns in the future. Is this something people do in the Philippines? Also, in Australia, when one works, a part of one's salary is put into a pension plan - it is called superannuation. At the moment, it is about 12 % of our salary. A person can then access this pension at the age of 60. The money that goes into superannuation is invested in the stock market. You mentioned an emergency fund. Do you have Income Protection insurance in the Philippines? For example, in Australia, if a person gets sick and cannot work, they receive about 50 to 75 % of their salary while they are sick. This type of insurance is expensive, but we can access this through our pension plan. This could be an alternative to a large emergency fund or a combination of both. Thanks, Shaun
I'm actually a Financial Management graduate but personally, i dont know how to handle my own money 😅 while scrolling through FB reels, there's a video talking about baby steps. It's not for the real babies 😂 but it's a step by step process on how to manage your money. Baby step one is creating an EF of at least $1k and so far, i still haven't achieved that 😂 but since i have the baby steps, i know now what steps to be taken. Just wanted to share that 🤗
