Not wrong. the MCR GTR was made to handle the Tokyo Metro, not the Touge
S15 could barley keep up it wasn’t designed for that kinda curvy track but the handbrake was dope
That's exactly why FD3S is called the Cornering Machine by Japanese
@@ilya3379 wrong. The GT-R was meant to circuit race all over the world. It's meant to hold speed, meaning braking needs to be minimal, on a course like this, that is really hard considering the amount of sharp corners where a high reving, light car would exceed, like a rx7.
To sort out the GTR understeer.

I really appreciate the actual car enthusiasts here that actually know what they are talking about, instead of the low life degenerates that think a supra can beat a ferrari stock on a quarter mile.
Literally nobody believes that a stock Supra can do that. Nobody in the history of the human race. A Supra can be easily modified to beat a Ferrari in a drag race, though.

I think the FD was the better car it looks like. the GTR couldn't hang with it in the corners only the straight it would reel it back in.
FD have rotary and other car have ~3L Motor so it's not very comarable :)
chionomushi but as far as using a rotary for racing is concerned, it's worth about double it's actual displacement. So a rotary competes as a 2.6l, which is much closer to the 3.0 in the gtr
All that matters is that Amemiya kicked the GT-R's butt a year later with the same stock turbo boost-up setup.
FD is godly when it comes to corners. light, FR, compact rotary engine, and the timeless look.
yeah a fully good tune FD would easily killed that gtr on touge.

That Fujita Engineering FD is a Spirit R model too! FD is the king of the Togue. Perfect balance. Fat GTRs can't keep up LOLz.

Not a GTR fanboy but the GTR looks faster on the straight away and light corners, the FD is kinda stale in the straights when the R34 zooms, with the acceleration and good understeer, the GTR can enter corners at a fast speed.

The Fujita Engineering FD is faster in the corners for sure, but it oversteers a bit too much, especially on throttle. The inferior traction ultimately hurts the driver's confidence and ability to push it. Mistakes tend to cost more time and over a longer stint, it will wear down the driver more
back when i didnt know much about jdm, all i knew were exotic sports car. Now its just jdm and the culture itself living in my brain rent free
Pay attention to the footwork, the footwork timing is everything. Become one with the machine.

Many R owners I met saying just reducing weight alone gives the engine more potential with FACTORY gearing and power

if you do the best time. The pilot go in first secon or 3th like in rally so the time was différent and the 2nd can have better time than the 1st :)
but i agree the first have an advantage because he dont have somebody in front of him or rear of him he dont have to be carefull x)
Its a touge battle. You dont start side by side, its a cat/ mouse chase. Car in front is the mouse car behind is the cat. You take turns leading than second round following and the winner is determined by wich car out run the other car better or wich car catch up to the mouse. It is initial d style rules.

Gtr was understeering all the way. Awd doesnt seem too good on these tracks
Think it had more to do with the setup to be honest there are plenty of videos and stories of GTR’s that don’t understeer near as hard as that one down touge tracks

+Robert Douglas driving with your foot on the clutch will slightly disengage the clutch and that means you wont be putting down full power when you floor it

Pretty poor effort from the RX7, generally RX7s should be able to spank GTRs.
its cause Keiichi Tsuchiya was driving the GTR, he's the best.
maybe the tuning wasn't perfect on this one. The RE-Amemiya 7 actually destroyed the MCR, same drivers
If keiichi was driving the rx7 different story you see gaps
