Really well done. Quite entertaining. You could make a full quirky horror movie out of this. It has appeal. Beautiful femme fatel with a twist and the film ends with the elusive 'she' getting away with it and the authorities have no clue who the killer is but speculate it may not necessarily be a she doing all the killing. A 'dalmer type character' perhaps and the thrill continues
Thank you! I thought about moving the reveal to the end, but I went with the Hitchcock approach of knowing there's a bomb and waiting for it to go off.
This is so good!! Congrats, very well deserved acceptance! Do you have any advice for someone that will be applying to USC this year? Also any advice on what I should do for the creative supplement video?
Thank you so much! Focus your energy on a strong personal statement essay. For the film, focus on the script, which is most important. Either something funny or with a twist ending.
You said you went with Hitchcock move and that reminds me of Rope! Yes, actually the idea is great. To know what's behind the door and waiting for the damn scene.
This was great!! I’m looking to make a short film as well for the MFA. I was wondering, are there any rules or requirements to the short film for USC? I don’t see anything on the USC website. I saw you used some music and was wondering if there were rules about copyright music?
Thank you so much! I did use copy-written music, and while they claim not to do so in their rules, nothing happened. So, proceed at your own risk. As far as short film requirements, they do have that posted on their website. In short: five minutes or less, you must have a major creative role (director, writer, producer), and should be an original creation made for the application. Hope that helps!
Hi! This was awesome! Do you have to be the cinematographer for your short film video to USC? Or can you collab and have someone else do it while you direct/ write the film?
I love this!!!! the lines are so well-written !! and loved the lighting and color, and the makeup/hairstyle of the girl
Thank you so much!
Very cool film, shared it with my film students.
That's awesome, thank you!
Twist is beautiful!!!
At first I thought it was a romance drama...but it was secetly a suspenseful thriller was brilliant!!!
Thank you so much!
Short and Fabulous !!
And She played the part perfectly !!
Poor 'Aaron', I'll bet you never go after another one night stand in your life again.
thank you!
Great job! I can see why you were accepted!
I can't believe you predicted Fresh starring Sebastian Stan
I still have to see that!

I forgot the name of the film but the story reminds me of Oh Stella, or something. Instead in this one she brings them over.
So good and well written! I wonder if the fridge reveal would have been better off when Aaron opens it rather than right at the beginning.
Thank you! I thought about moving the reveal to the end, but I went with the Hitchcock approach of knowing there's a bomb and waiting for it to go off.
@@AlexanderPont Chekhov's gun!!!
Dude should have ran when he had the chance. Great short film by the way.
Thank you! He was too horny to run away.
Congrats on getting into USC!!
Thank you!
wow, this is literally pretty fucking good!

this is so great!! and the girl that plays sasha is remarkably similar to young a young claire danes, they even sound alike!
Thank you!

Keep your supplemental film super simple as well, USC is more studio focused so try not to do anything insanely artistic.
@@jiayangliu true. However, don’t let that stop you from being artistic should you be accepted!
@@AlexanderPont yea fax, i just see lot of really good art films getting rejected and had to tell her know about that :)
Great job 👏🏽 great acting 😍
Thank you!
Aw man, I was hoping they'd get together in the end
Great job! Off topic but she's 🔥😍
Awesome short film!
What a lack of self preservation from Aaron 😂
Pretend you like her and get away
Lol
So either way, she was going to unalive him. Wow! Nice job
Dude: Straight-up throws a condom on the dinner table.
Me: "I am fine with him being murdered."

@@AlexanderPont Yes, that helps! Thank you! I’m about to start writing my short film. Any tid-bits of advice?
@@kingmeme8322 Keep it simple. Script is king. Everything else is supplemental.
@@AlexanderPont sounds good. Thank you!! Also, can you go over 5 minutes with credits? I see a lot of people do that.
@@kingmeme8322 yes
the acting is amazing

Thank you! No, you can have someone else be the DP. You only need to have been the Director, Producer, Or Writer--or all three!
@@AlexanderPont Thank you so much! Best of luck to you and your endeavors! See you at the top my friend!
this is my american psycho 🤞🏽
I swear every USC application accepted video is dark as frick
Lol, yeah, it's true. They enjoy comedies but get wet for dark twisted shit or sappy dramas.
Love it! This is for graduate school right?
Thanks! Yup!
Was this your short film you submitted for film school?
Yes!
straight outta American psycho
Too much unnecessary cursing, really well done tough cool idea
amazing love when he says i just wanted to f you, i think the suspense could have gone on a little longer but great vibes lighting and colours
Juicy
I am also a film director, editor, and writer. I would love to help you out with some of the projects if you are interested. Let me know !
