Most of the Rajasthani folk dances are accompanied by instruments, namely, Dholak, Kadthal, Nagara and Morchang. Dholak, Nagara and Kadthal are percussion instruments, while Morching is a string instrument. Jugalbandhi is a musical ensemble in which all the aforementioned instruments are played together. Jugalbandhi is usually performed during Rajasthani wedding ceremonies and other auspicious occasions.

ये - टेंऊं टेंऊं डियूं डियूं की विभिन्न आवाजों वाला परकशन बाजा ( जो मुंह में दबा कर हाथ की ऊंगलियों से बजाया जा रहा है - बेहद कमाल है ! ढोलक और परकशन की आवाजें बेहद सुर में मिलाई गई हैं ।

A large number of Surinamese Indians are descended from the tribal or agriculturist castes of Central Indian and Chhota Nagpur, and therefore they must be inheriting the rich musical traditions of their forefathers. Can you tell me whether you are also familiar with drums like Maadol? Btw, "Doekhi" seems to be the Dutch rendition of the name "Dukhi" - which was a very common name among villagers in North India and Bengal almost a century ago.

As I mentioned before ,we play the dholak, tabla, nagara,kajri and the dhapala.As far as I know the madool is unknown in Suriname.

@@hijibijbij9476 Suriname of the Netherlands are bhojpuri community not Rajasthani. They of course are of Indian descent but the cultures and traditions are most likely to be different from Rajasthan. They resemble more closely to the up- bihar traditions.
