I don’t think I stopped smiling once during the past 6 and a half minutes. This is inspirational on so many levels. June seems like a wonderful person, as does the “real” Thelma. 94? 103?!? Love it!
I just saw this lovely gem of a movie yesterday with some friends. One of the best films I've seen in a while. June Squibb was marvelous as was the late Richard Roundtree.
This is a fantastic movie. This director is going places, his writing and directing are brilliant. The actors were so good as well, believable and so funny. Also, the editing, made it really just a perfect film.
June Squibb is a treasure. If you haven't seen Nebraska -- she was nommed for an AA for her work in it -- do so. You'll love her as that crusty older wife and mother.
I saw Thelma and it's a great movie. I hope Ms Sqibb is nominated and gets the Oscar fir Thelma. I hope seniors go and see this movie because it's a charmer, it's funny and realistic about aging.
We lose so much talent when a person reaches the age of 65 and retires. And we have a preconceived idea of how they are suppose to live. Great interview.
I heard a review of the film just today on NPR on my car radio. The reviewer loved it and is very happy with the lead performances. This happened to my family one day - a call from one of the nieces who said all her money was stolen and she was stuck in England. Nobody sent any money after calling her to find she was not robbed, but the thing of it was a heart-stopping moment because that young woman _was_ in London at that time. Maybe the scammers got the info from her Facebook account?
What a fun interview with June Squibb and i wasn't going to watch Sunday Morning i'm glad i did. I'm going back to June Squibb Wikipedia she is an Illinois girl. June Squibb as a New Jersey leprechaun that drinks blood i can't wait. Dexter Lombardo 🤠🧔 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
I just saw this movie. It was pretty darn good! It was cute, the plot was really good, I think this is a movie for everyone! And of course, the acting was great.
Imagine if she appeared in more movies back in the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s, that would've been splendid. For example, she would've appeared in "It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World" in 1963.
I saw the movie and I couldn't stop laughing. She did a fantastic job and it shows a huge problem, not only for senior citizens, but for all of us. Getting scammed and how easy it can happen to any of us. When the character mentioned she was in her 90s I had to look up June's age cause she didn't look like she was in her 90s. I thought 80s. It was a wonderful movie that I highly recommend.
Yes she was great in the film & so wonderful to see the gorgeous Richard Roundtree. I was frustrated by too many scenes with the neurotic mother. I felt it was over the top, so therefore not enough time spent on the actual confrontation with the scammers. You were waiting for that, from the long build up, but it was over too quickly. I was amazed to find out the age of June Swibb! Score 4 out of 5 for me.
We saw the movie yesterday and enjoyed it, but how did Ben get outside ahead of her when he was left behind inside? And where did she transfer the money *to*?
Are you afraid of dying? We all have eternal life. The question is where will you spend it. Jesus died on the cross for you. He who hears my word (JESUS) and believes in Him (GOD) who sent me will have eternal life! He will not be condemned, he has crossed over from death to life. John 5:24

I'm 81. Feel like a kid!
A lot of grandmas have gotten this call. Kudos to the writer that made a whole movie around it.
How can you not love her? June's such an icon.
June Squibb, you are awesome. Wishing you continued blessings and success for many more years to come.

Watching the 103 yr old lady jump up to greet the 94 yr old actress - thank you! Don’t see that every day!
Aging is such an individual thing isn’t it.
What an awesome woman!! Go June!
What a delightful interview! Thank you!
No matter how many time I see the grave yard scene in Nebraska, it never fails to make me laugh. You missed out Keith😂
This is a fantastic movie. This director is going places, his writing and directing are brilliant. The actors were so good as well, believable and so funny. Also, the editing, made it really just a perfect film.
6/23/24: I go to great lengths to see “Sunday Morning”! It’s segments like the June Squibb piece that make me so glad! What a gal! A charmer!
June Squibb is a treasure. If you haven't seen Nebraska -- she was nommed for an AA for her work in it -- do so. You'll love her as that crusty older wife and mother.
Can I just say she is adorable!

Just saw it. One can just fall in love with the 😊characters. Realistic that any of this could happen in the real world. Not so much.
Well done, June. Now get Maggie Smith to be Louise and you have a Grumpy Old Ladies franchise!
😂
I would see that!!
We lose so much talent when a person reaches the age of 65 and retires. And we have a preconceived idea of how they are suppose to live. Great interview.
What a beautiful and talented soul.
This was so funny, heartwarming, timely, relevant, and wonderful. We need more films like this. I enjoyed it and June Squibb has really inspired me!

How amazing. 💕🌟
You have a new fan here!
She only had a couple of lines, but I loved her in the film "In & Out," too!
Mo and June and Thelma? Christmas in July!🎉🎉🎉
I just saw this movie. It was pretty darn good! It was cute, the plot was really good, I think this is a movie for everyone! And of course, the acting was great.
I love June Squibb I am grandma and I think she is absolutely adorable. ❤
A delight lady.
Incredible
She did a great job acting on "Mom" TV show spot😂😂😂
She also played Jack Nicholson’s wife in About Schmidt one of my favorite movies.

Why are we ignoring how great June was in Hubie Halloween?
I loved Nebraska!
Thank you for not mentioning that she had a cameo in that unnecessary abominable remake of Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead
Remember when she did a few lines in that one Pixar film? Those were the days....
Wow Moe Rocca actually has a real journalism job on CBS?
I ❤ the movie!

When you get older, you don't care what others (besides the ones you love) think of you. I've gotten a little more sarcastic in a funny way.
Would you rather?
❤❤❤
Woohoo!!!
Meemaw!!!!
✨✨✨✨✨⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Ah our new sassy, and crass with class, Betty white
