      That's awesome! Two of my favorite leather crafters are friends, because of leather crafting! I bought my first side a 3 to 4 oz oil tanned top grain hide, cognac brown, it's beautiful! I can't wait to see what I can make with it! These reviews and information on machines are super important, as is the how-to's like sewing/cutting/gluing/burnishing/etc! Much continued successes to both you guys! If you are ever in Georgia, let's meet up, would love to drop by District Leather and buy some hides!lol!👌✌🤘👍

    I really like your atelier and your clean products. I think my favorite is the Cordovan card holder with the large Rose Gold Embossing. You are an inspiration for someone who also hope to start up a leather goods business in the future. Thanks for the tour and description on your machines. Have a nice day.

It's awesome to see others wanting to help others. Humanity restored!!! lol But honestly, you've helped me so much in taking up a new hobby that I, one day, can make into a profitable business. Hi Ryan, Great video. I noticed on the section about the Adler Cylinder Arm that you had it set up on a flat table. Some cylinder arms are on a pedestal or a table with a cut out. I am thinking of getting a Cylinder Arm to be used for Leather and Upholstery. So a table like that is appealing. My question is - Have you found any major restrictions with making leather bags and other leather goods with the Cylinder Arm mounted on the Flat table. I like the look of it for what I am planning. Thanks, Will

    I've got a Cobra Class 4, and it's great for holsters, heavy belts, and basically anything that works well with 207 or 277 thread and 25/26 size needles on a cylinder arm. It's not great at the finer work and smaller threads or needles like 138 down to 64ish. So, I've been getting more in to bags as well as continuing with wallets and collars. My next machinery purchase is going to be the bell skiver but I'm also thinking about that next sewing machine. I need a good comparison between the Juki 1508N and the Cobra 18 or even the Cobra 5110 Post machine for working with odd corners and interior stich lines. Any thoughts or a way to get a good non-biased comparison review?

I’m looking forward to learning a bit more about photography for my finished bags. Question for you. I’m really interested in the drill press setup as I too prefer to hold my leather vertically. For the sanding machine, if you enjoy having your burnisher vertical, you might also prefer your sanding vertically? If so you can look at wood working machines like Oscillating column sanders such as this one from amazon: www.amazon.com/dp/B07KKXNWWX/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_ddZRFbKA76CXB or something like it.

    Hi Ryan. I love this video as it answers so many questions.
    I do have a question about the bell skiver. I rebind bibles (memphisbibles.com) and have to thin the edge of the leather extremely thin to fold over. I also use softer leathers (goatskin, lamb, etc)
    Will this machine thin down the leather extremely thin? Almost paper like? I’ve watched a ton of videos and no one mentions how thin you can’t reduce the thickness.

    Greetings from the snowy and boring (Lockdown thx to Covid-19) Austrian Mountains. Hope you are doing quite well, and there´s no thoughts of quitting leathercraft.....I´ve got a burning under the nails question: what kind of speed reducer did you take? I´ve got a few days ago a Hightex 1510- nearly the same as your Yuki. But I got a cluth motor-can I build in a speed reducer? My machine starts slowly, but if I hit the gas just with the tippy end of my schoe- that thing goes off like hell.....thanks a lot for your Info....great job-go for it!

    • @LittleKingGoods
      @LittleKingGoods  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would suggest getting a brushless servo motor. You could try adding a speed reducer to that motor. In any case it’s always good to have a speed reducer.

    Checking in from Baltimore, Md. Thank you for taking the time away from other things you could be doing to share with us some very useful information. As usual, you're the man. Keep doing what you’re doing and please stay safe!

    I'd ask why you don't list the tech sew, but given how often mine Jams, I can guess why...

    Love your work and your videos. I’d definitely be interested in a watch strap for my Apple Watch from LKG!

    Hey Ryan what do you think about the weaver 303 sewing machine? Ive been hand stitching for a while and I think I’m ready to. Move up to a sewing machine. PS I love the brass pattern knife you sell. Works great!

    question about the clicker press. What is the minimum force needed to press through leather? I saw the atom comes in a 10 ton model amd the manual clicker press you have is a 4 ton. Any reason for the high pressure? Would saving money on a lower ton machine be fine?

    I know someone already asked, but I’m also curious why you switched from the techsew 5100 to the Adler. Is it easier to make micro adjustments on? Thanks for the great Vid!!!

      Adler is better built ,runs more smoothly after sales back is second to none overall the machine is built like a tank they will be able to sew your coffin liner with it.
