20 revolutions of the pallet - a good wrap - but nearly 100 metres of walking backwards. If you are wrapping more than a dozen pallets a day you need to consider a machine - a dozen pallets is over one kilometre walking backwards while bending over.
What a waste of film. And labour intensive.Any pre-stretch power head on a turntable, spinning arm, or ring wrapper - or robot wrapper.... will save you money in film costs alone. The principle is great, but the poor bloke will have a crook back, and sore ankles from knocking the pallet as you walk backwards and bent over. Something the human body isn't really designed to do all day.
This pallet wrapping technique is typical of most companies using a hand film application. Walking backwards, bending over, and wearing gloves to protect hands are all unnecessary and increase risk of injury. There is a faster, safer, and better way to wrap pallets by hand and its called the PrecisionrapXL System and its only available from Western Plastics Canada. Simply put, there is no better way to wrap pallets by hand.
