The last sentence - exactly. It's (more than) half marketing. University education for bachelor is business in USA. Going to Cali state uni is good for University to make money
I watched the entire video even though I don't understand a single word... I am from India, but I am very much interested in Japanese language, culture basically everything about Japan... I wish to visit Japan atleast once in my lifetime.
As I said, those so called counselors didn't go through work visa situations to stay in USA, so they are ill-informed about it. They are happy making money from you guys to just send you to American colleges.
Those fun social experiment videos are gone in the past, I'm more focused on my life purpose and goals to get to next step than making those entertaining videos for time sake
It really depends on what you want to accomplish, and in this specific case where you are simply aiming to work and live abroad (I'm talking about Japanese ppl), United States is simply not the most realistic solution we should think of. Sashi is specifically talking about surviving the life, and utilizing the university (and the experience as a whole), and he completely has a point. So I completely understand why he always stresses his whole argument based on money and reality. Some of the comments I have seen in the past including other videos criticizing Sashi were simply having a completely different view point. If you wish to simply fulfill the want to live in the US as a student, but want to end up in Japan anyways, he has nothing against that decision. It's just a different topic. Personally, I have decided to go to an Italian university to study Economics and CS/Machine Learning, ranked around 20th in the world. I have no intention whatsoever to stay here in Italy, but willing to work abroad in the future if I find it valuable. Once I decide where I want to end up, my plan is to apply to a masters in that specific country to encounter visa and permission issues. I was extremely lucky to have rich-enough parents to fund me for uni (Uni that I go to costs about 13000 EUR tuition+living), and I am more than willing to be proactive and take the opportunity that I've got.
Liberal arts... Good only if you're going to Masters afterward or parents are rich enough to pay for bachelor's.. LAC alone wouldn't be enough for professional world
You should ask yourself, "what's the point of getting a degree from US/UK?". In other words, what is your END goal? End goal (ultimate goal) is different from "means" goal (means to achieve something else). Ask yourself "do I want to go to US university (means) SO THAT I can do XYZ (end)?"
Thank you. I am keep asking myself that question for couple of months, and to achieve my goal, I figure it out that going abroad and challenging myself would be the best path for me. I have already met some of alumni members from the universities that I am aiming for currently, and they have gave me very positive feed back. However, they all happened to be native US/UK green card holders in Japan, so they are not aware of legal matters, so I wanted to ask you about your opinion. Thank you for providing insightful videos, I just found out your channel, so I would def check more of your contents out.
@@sugiiyuma9066 can you share what you mean by "challenging yourself", in what broader field/major, and what those almuni majored and what they do for work? I want to learn statistics. However I am not sure if I want to do it in an ECON program, or in some kind of a CS program. Still undecided. I used the term "challenge myself", because I am not satisfied with my current uni's ECON program in Japan, which is not considered THAT bad (next to 一橋). Also, I have never studied abroad, and I am curious about it. It will be very hard to list everyone, since I interviewed a lot of people, so i will write one from US and one from UK. He introduced me to his friend who was an ECON/statistic major, and we chatted a little on skype. The guy from UK graduated with an ECON degree. He works for a private equity fund. They both suggested me to go abroad, because I can hold my credits in Japan for 2~4years. I can always come back. I also saved up quite a lot of money, and my parents are very supportive about me going abroad.
Do you think mcmaster university is cut out for students that want to get a job in canada?? I got a bunch of information about the universities with the highest employability. I heard that it is mandatory to go through co op 5 times at the university of waterloo and students have to inquire interships all by themselves. Could you tell me about whether students have good grades can get interships at the university even though they don't go to the university of waterloo?? I really want your answers!

Nope, I wouldn't advise spending precious young time in jp University. It'll be too late to adapt for Masters abroad

Are you saying some publishers are interested or saying I should publish like a Kindle book myself?
